Are they incapable of researching used cars for sale? She could look to FB marketplace to start. I think they may even know a family with a used car lot they could contact who could maybe help them find one in their area. Shes not even coy in her grifting.

This makes me sad only in the sense that she is probably more Christ-following than the “Christians” who have turned her off of the faith.

Man. I feel for the kid. He just wants to get laid, like most guys his age. I will never understand how strapping him with someone he doesn’t love forever is healthier than letting the guy just go have sex.

In regards to the vow renewal, I feel like it would only make sense - especially for fundie couples - if there were marital trials. Like, I would kind of understand if Josh and Anna did it after his infidelity, but if you said your vows in front of God and you haven’t broken those vows, why would you need to renew them? Then again, I don’t have a TV show I need to come up with story arcs for. I’m glad the Rod girls are largely okay but good lord Jill is gross. What a freaking attention whore grifter.

Derick is precisely the type of Christian I had to ignore in order to become one myself. Once I started tuning out his type and actually focusing on *Christ*, I realized being a follower of Jesus did not mean I’d become an asshole to anyone who believes differently than I.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Derek is struggling with his sexuality. If he is, I would invite him to a church that would welcome him as is and not try to pray or beat it out of him.

I used to attend a church that would welcome LGBTQ people in their doors - then preach on how it’s a sin and try to “save” them. They would be lovely to their face but never accept them as they are. I mean... if Derek could think logically for a minute, he may see that there are many gay couples who have been HAPPILY committed for decades. He should know that you can’t have a happy marriage for 40 or 50 years without REAL love. You can be married that long but if the love isn’t there, it’s not going to be a fulfilling relationship! I don’t know what he thinks keeps a gay couple together for so long if it’s anything but true love.

Babylon Bee is a Christian satire site but that doesn’t seem far from the truth...how quickly can JB and M get their kids out of the house and married off.

Maybe they can enlighten me as to how being married for 2 minutes to someone you’ve known for 5 minutes makes you mature enough and prepared for parenthood at 18/19 because I’m over here a mom of 3 in my 30s with a man I’ve been with for over a decade still wondering if I’m actually ready for it all. lol
