S07.E12: The Other C Word
stcroix replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of New Jersey
Sadly I agree with your second paragraph. Mel tried to push her way on this show for several years with Theresa keeping her out. There was bad blood there between the two. Tre claimed Mel copied everything she did and it was irritating. Caroline got aggravated at Tre for something and pushed to have Mel and Joe on the show causing friction between the two families. Remember the big reception scene where JoeGo was calling his sister Tre a ho or something like that. Just furious at her while Mel simpered beside him, loving every minute? Very bad blood between the two women. It was even discussed that Tre wouldn't put Mel on the visitation list last year to see her at 'camp'. Suddenly this season all is forgiven and the two girls are best friends! I think Andy laid it out on the line: He likes Mel and esp Joe. Tre is a lone wolf without her Joe. She'd better choose sides and therefore she chose Mel and JoeGo. If she'd chosen Jaqueline (who had already proved to be an enemy) then she knew Jaq would bring Rosie and especially Kathy into it and try to take Tre down and take over the show. In her mind it was a no brainer--- choose Mel, let her be the star and ride her coattails until JoeGudice gets back out and she's not alone. Unlike you, I never could stand Mel. I thought she was the fakest of the fake willing to do anything to be a star. But this season I'm handling her just fine. She's proven to be a pretty saavy player on the show, joining forces with Theresa and along with the entertaining JoeGo is running the thing. I can't believe I'm saying it, but this season I like her. :) -
LOVE this format and wish they would keep it! Very tight show. Loved having just Tom being the host-- even tho I don't mind Erin, I think she gets too 'talky' at times when they're up on the upper level and drags the show down. Just get to the scores. And ANYTHING that keeps the judges remarks to a bare minimum is a win for me. Much less audience screaming = win! And looooove the traditional music and choreography that is more traditional and not just a lot of jazz-freestyle-whatever with a few of the actual dance moves thrown in. I really was enjoying watching a few yrs back when I started to realize how much I was learning when watching the show and could identify the moves in the dances and even critique them! That was fun. I don't need to watch So You Think You Can Dance with a few real moves in to appease Len. A good night :)

I don't know why everyone is so thrilled a woman finally won over a man. This could have happened for many of the past seasons IF the women would have banded together and not felt like they needed the protection of a man or men. And Nicole wouldn't have been there tonight if she hadn't latched onto Cory and his competition winning long body. I still don't think we've had a true win by a physically capable, intelligent, and conniving woman like I'd want it to be. Nicole just squeezed her way by and even she seemed shocked when Julie announced the jury vote.

S07.E10: Cut The Cancer Out
stcroix replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of New Jersey
I can remember from some of the earlier seasons where 'relatives' were alluded to who wanted to push on the show and Tre was stopping it. Suddenly Caroline is friends with Melissa and the Walikes and it becomes clear that Caro is tired of Tre or something happened where Tre got on her wrong side and she was pushing Melissa and Kathy. Both were extremely thirsty to get their piece of Theresa's pie at Bravo. Back stabbing all around with them trying to take down Teresa because she was stopping them from being on the show as much as possible. (I guess she figured she'd found the thing and was making good money, why cut her share when pushy relatives wanted in on a good thing) It's been a battle ever since. I think the whole problem stems from Tre shutting them out of the show as much as possible. Tre and Melissa have settled now because 1) Andy likes Melissa and esp Joe, and 2) Tre needs an ally and since it looks like Mel ain't going anywhere she might as well be it. Melissa is just thrilled to be on the show as the 'glamorous' one. (in her mind) So she's not pooping where she's playing. Rosie admitted that Tre was there for her when they were young and Rosie realized she was gay but that Kathy was not. I think Rosie has always looked for that approval from Kathy and that's why she is so adamantly taking her side, no matter what. Richie is just Disgusting. And I totally agree with the above poster who said something happened in the past between Richie and Tre-- he came on to her or something and was rebuked. (maybe several times) When they were on the show a lot I noticed him leering at Tre quite a bit, that's what gave me the first idea of something like that. She seems uncomfortable around him. If I noticed him then you know Kathy noticed him and whatever else and HATES Tre. Whether for being the object of her husbands desire, or Tre's being disgusted at the fact that Richie desires her which would be a little humiliating to Kathy. I know one thing, I'll be glad to see the back of Kathy's leer/smile. She seems extremely shady to me. -

I just started watching this episode and......just please Bravo tell me you're not trying to make Ashley happen as a 'Jr Housewife' like Briana from the OC seems to be now. I promise you, I wont watch those two. And I've been a loyal fan of your shows from the beginning. But there IS a limit. -
You're probably right. He may be more hyper when working and barking out orders to the others because the cameras are on him, too.
-
I'm thankful I taped this. I cant imagine listening to that much Nasilly Nicole. Gah! Hate these 'remember when' clip shows! I FF through to the very end and ended up watching the last 5 minutes with my whole treat still in my lap :D

It's too late at night and I'm too tired to scroll back over all the comments so it may have already been discussed, but if not then does anyone else think Trevor could be on a drug (s)? All that excessive sweating when no one else was and his excessive/inappropriate talking seemed off to me. Especially for someone who was supposed to have experience. Heck even Kelley the former crybaby was trying to act the part and man up for his role onboard. Something's off to me about Trevor. (and I'm praying that nose pickin' in the night was while asleep! uuugggh!)

S18.E38: Head Of Household 13, Nominations 13
stcroix replied to Tara Ariano's topic in Past Seasons
The only way I believe James would ever have ridden away into the sunset with Natalie is if he WAS flush with cash..... If he wins this thing, by some miracle, (or America's Player) then we'll see her turn back into her 'cute' act and be all puppy dog following her Jamsie around. Otherwise, she's moving on to bigger fish. -
S11.E09: Woo Hoo Weekend
stcroix replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
I agree with this. She's sick with two little boys-- I was sick with two toddlers and couldn't WAIT for my mom to fly from another state and take over while I went to bed and got well! Totally let her, too. I also didn't think Brianna was happy to see Ryan because then she cant relax totally. She has to be the referee between him and Vicki and keep both happy. You know Vicki isn't always that sweet to Ryan as she puts on in front of the cameras. And with his personality, you know she gets on his nerves and I'm sure Brianna is hearing it from both sides. And Michael the son..... I think Vicki's blackmailing him to be on the show, he certainly acts like it. Maybe threatening to take away his job (if she has that power) or something? He's miserable being filmed for the show. I sadly remember both Michael and Brianna when they were teenagers and happy. Then Brianna got sick and who knows what happened to Michael? He was acting like a normal happy college guy until Vickie burst into his house all ready to whoop it up with his friends..... That could have scarred him. On another note, Heather can get off her high horse any time now. I'm sick of her 'I'm up here and you're down there' act. Heather, you're not up so far that you won't do whatever Bravo wants you to do, and happily cash that paycheck. That's a pure Ho'wife. -
S11.E08: Shannon Gets Her Groove Back
stcroix replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
In my opinion, Shannon and Heather both realize that Tamra runs this group in some way. Maybe Andy knows she'll do ANYTHING so her place on the show is firm and to be her close friend is a sure way of getting camera time. When Vicki and Tamra are close everyone else is excluded because they 'get' each other and honestly seem to have fun together. Thus, Vicki must go......... I've watched Heather try to squeeze in as the third friend when she, Tamra and Vicki were in Hawaii and they mocked her as such a square practically to her face. I think that's where the nickname 'Fancypants' came in, I may be wrong. And Shannon keeps trying to hang with the girls, like at the resort last year when Vicki was determined to 'Whoop it Up!' and have more fun than the other group of women (Heather, Meghan, and someone else, cant remember) I thought Vicki, Tamra, and Shannon were actually funny but it was obvious that Vicki and Tamra would have had just as much fun alone and Shannon was being overly drunk and silly acting trying hard to be 'fun' like them. With Vicki out of the picture there's more camera time with Tamra. Sadly, I have to admit I like Whoop it Up Vicki.... :( I'd rather see them all out at some tropical paradise whooping it up than at some boring vow renewal. Gah. -
I know I'm the only one who can't stand Natalie on here so please forgive me for this: UGHHH! at childish Natalie with all her middle school giggling, her leg kicks, her just too awkward attempts to MISS a target or roll a ball in a straight line more than 2 feet without it going all crazy wonky, her leaning waaaay over to 'innocently' show the guys what a boob wrinkle is over and over and over. (Boy is she proud of those bolt ons.) I know she's going for the cute, sexy yet innocent, and dumb role, but I just cant take much more. I may have to give this show up this year. I cant find anyone left to root for! I despise them all :( My whole family loves Natalie and think she's 'adorable'. I think she tries too hard to be adorable.... Ok, that's all.
-
Vic is so immature still, isn't he? Sigh............ Wish we had a redo of this season, starting with a whole new cast. And a new rule: Group nicknames not allowed. They are too excited at what they're gonna call their secret group. As if that's what counted. Another sigh........

That face on Paulie! haw!

Another 'to be continued' HOH competition?! They must think we have the attention span of fruit flies and have to be 'reminded' to make sure to watch the show on Sunday or we'll miss the excitement of who wins the competition! Gag. I don't get the Natalie love. Sure she'd be cute if she was an 8th grader. But all those yea! yea! and leg kicks just seem (to me) a desperate attempt to remind the audience that she's a cheerleader!! Yeaaaa! Leg kick. I don't watch the live feeds, though, she may be truly adorable for real. My husband told me tonight shes been a cheerleader for a national league football team. So..... shouldn't that make her a little old to play the giggly cheerleader part? Just curious if it's all an act. If so, it seems to be working on most. I'm feeling a little mean now. I'm cranky because I have NO one to root for this year! Everyone is irritating, boring, or just weird to me-- and not in a good way.

Ok, I just caught up with this show on OnDemand and I have to say it was pretty boring.... And I loved this show the last two seasons. Way too much petty bickering. I do like the house and food porn! These ladies are simply hilarious with their clothes, makeup and hair, though! It's like it's Oscar night every night (and day). And I'd love to visit Australia some day-- it's so green and pretty. -

I'm just watching this episode and I'm 1/2 way through. I just had to pop over here to say that I'm TIRED of watching Dorinda's mouth with food in it (and sometimes on her lip)! She's always talking to someone at a little restaurant and doing so much advising and talking and EATING--- didn't her Mom teach her it's not polite to speak with food in her mouth?! Bleeeach. Also, she needs to stop taking naps in her recliner right before filming. I know that parted hair in the back look-- she's been dozing in her recliner! Spritz and comb that out, girl. Otherwise, she's ok. A little talkie, but ok. -
S11.E04: Frozen Assets
stcroix replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
Has anyone here seen the 1999 movie Drop Dead Gorgeous? (about a beauty pageant where the contestants keep getting killed off, Denise Richards was in it and Ellen Barkin played her mother) Anyway, the 1st time I saw and heard Kellys mom I immediately thought Ellen Barkin! All Kelly's mom needed was to be in a wheelchair with a ciggie in one hand and a beer can burned to the other! Dead ringer :D -
I thought this was a fairly interesting show tonight. I couldn't stand Tiffany before because it was like getting Vanessa all over again. Same with Paulie, though. Then we have the Super irritating Nicole and her voice grating on my last nerve and DaVonne and Frank..... Just felt like a repeat of what I'd already seen :( But tonight it got good for me. I didn't like the ostrasizing of Tiffany one bit. What a bunch of weak and mean people! Any one of them would have freaked if they'd been in the same situation! Can you imagine Nicole walking into a room full of people and they suddenly stopped talking and slowly got up and left the room?! The whining and questions that would have gone on after that! Vanessa... I mean Tiffany is supper needy and irritating herself, but I think Nicole would have been even more. For some reason I'm suddenly pulling for Frank, Tiffany and Frank's sidekick and hope one of them win that veto! I wonder who Paulie would put up in Tiffany's place........?

S01.E10: Charter From Heaven, Charter From Hell
stcroix replied to OnceSane's topic in Below Deck Mediterranean
Julia must be confusing for Bobby to understand. She pushes him away and then is all cutesy and 'Bubby,Bubby,oh Bubby!' I thought it was telling when Bobby picked up Hannah and Julia rushed under his arm and practically jumped up on his other hip, throwing her hair back and forth going,'Bubby, Bubby!' The look Hannah shot her would have FROZEN a lesser flirt and they would have immediately slunk away. I'm curious how she'll explain that to her boyfriend.... I like her and highly dislike Bobby so I don't want her to mess up a good thing with her boyfriend. Some girls gotta flirt, tho. -
I LOVE Grace and Frankie. But..... I'm a little over the guys. I mean, they've been together for 20 yrs and they are just so mushy and thoughtful all the time :( It's great in small doses, but these two act like Romeo and Juliet. I thought the seedy motel scene was disgusting and trite. Not believable at all. Two lawyers would be very concerned about what might be happening to their car in that neighborhood and less about dancing cheek to cheek to gansta rap or whatever it was. I can take only a small amount of them. Love everyone else on the show. I'd especially love it if they'd flesh out the part of Brianna's male assistant into something along the lines of the flamboyant and witty Marc from Ugly Betty!!
