  1. Didn't he? I wondered if it was the same actor. I really hated that he got his castle and title at the end. Still as smug, annoying and pointless as ever. How did they get rid of the Dothraki? Where did Drogon and Daenerys go? Interesting that the dragon realized that the Iron throne ultimately was responsible for his mother's death. It was fine. I'll miss the show and most of the characters, but I'm glad I don't have to be conflicted about Sundays anymore.
  2. Well, this episode was a downer: Arya is back to being a soulless assassin. How bleak. Drogon loses another sibling. Jon sends Ghost away. Jaime breaks Brienne's heart and leaves for KL, presumably to die with Cersei. Euron is alive. Tyrion grovelling and begging before Cersei- "I know you're not a monster" wtf?? I can't... Poor, sweet Missandei will never see Naath again. Daenerys is both mad and mad. I guess it is all just misery in the end.
  3. I sure hope so. Jamie: :o Bran: Where the fuck was Ghost?
  4. Sansa: "You stand accused of murder, you stand accused of treason. How do you answer these charges...Lord Baelish?" Littlefinger: We're so used to seeing him composed and in control, that the whimpering and begging for his life was pretty disconcerting. He finally ran out of moves. S/O to Bran for coming through with the three-eyed witness account. Cersei is a lying liar who lies. Who's honestly surprised by her double cross? She probably prefers the company of the undead (see The Mountain) than the living at this point anyway. Jon should thank the gods for the Stark genes. Every Targaryen male we're seen has been really unfortunate looking. I spent the last 10 minutes yelling expletives at the the tv. Tormund can't go out like that.
  5. A friend who initially decided to wait until it aired Sunday, texted to tell her if anything outrageous happens. When Drogon swooped into view with the Dothraki horde bearing down on the Lannister army, I screeched and sent her a mostly unintelligible text. I know we're not there yet, but I'm really going to miss this show when it's gone. I can't think of any movie or tv show in recent memory that's had me this invested, enthralled and hyped...and we have precious few episodes left *sigh* Anyway, my favorite 'Oh shit' reactions of the episode: Bran- "Chaos is a ladder." Little finger was shook. Jaime- "We can hold them off." Enter the dragon. Lannister soldier- literally shaking with fear on the front line. Hell, I was shaking too. It's a shame Bran is dead inside now. He and Meera had a bond before he went full three eyed raven on her, and now they can't even share a proper goodbye. At least he managed to muster a hug for Arya, so there's that. I'm so proud of and happy for her, looking like a mini hybrid of Ned and Lyanna Stark taking on Brienne. Her embraces with Sansa and Bran were touching, but I think the one with Jon will be the best Stark sibling reunion yet. Jaime, STFU. Olenna betrayed "her Queen," yes. After said Queen murdered her whole family and destroyed her house. Do you get why she might be hold a grudge? Ugh. This is the first time that I've ever really rooted for Daenerys. It was for Drogon's sake, but still.
  6. Damn, life comes at you fast. Daenerys went from looking unbeatable, to losing all of her allies with just the Dothraki and her dragons keeping her in the game now. Hopefully, this turn of events means more action and less entitled proclamations. No way is Jaime breathing a word of Olenna's confession to Cersei because 1. She has always hated Tyrion and has no interest in absolving him anyway and 2. He knows she's batshit crazy, her knowing that Olenna got over on her by getting away with murdering Joffrey AND getting a merciful death would send her (more quickly) over the edge. No need to hasten that. Jaime has always been a child-crippling, cousin murdering smug muppet to me. I hope Cersei gets to see him gutted before her demise.
  7. Pun intended? :p Also: Jaime: "Those people I cut down were your kin" Euron: "The place was getting crowded" <kanyeshrug> Lol, I'm looking forward to more Jaime and Euron banter. I got momentarily excited when Jon got a raven, only to be told it was from King's Landing. A reunion with Bran may be too much to ask from this show, but could they please at least know that he's still alive(for now)? Nothing more to add about the cold open except Yasssssss!!!!!!!!!!!! Re watching scene alone will tide me over until next Sunday.
  8. Does Brooke not know her husband? Why would she volunteer him to play that role in the shoot knowing the kind of man he is? Then again maybe he only allowed her to be on the show if he got to be featured too....And lmao at him not wanting to be 'seen that way' by Arnold. I think it's safe to say that Arnold, like most of the audience, doesn't know him from a hole in the wall. Speaking of chauvinists, I have to agree that there was something about Trump's smarminess and banter with the celebrities that made it more entertaining. It also could be that LA seems to be lacking the energy of NYC; I doubt Vince's store would've been that empty in Manhattan. Not to mention Trump's advisors were also less forgettable. Carson is so delightful. If/When he's fired, the show will significantly less interesting.
  9. I'm disgusted. First losing Jim, a chef whose food I always look forward to and talking heads are actually interesting to listen to. As the elimination challenge unfolded and I realized the judges liked John's dish, relief set in because Jaime has immunity right? Ugh TBH, I didn't even finish the entire episode because as soon as Jaime brought up the giving up immunity bs, I went and spoiled myself. Not going to bother watching the conclusion. Emily's long overdue exit is detracting from my enjoyment of this show.
  10. Well, you learn something new everyday, I never knew there was a nasty tasting gland in pig cheeks. I could take Sam or leave him, but I could see him geeking out over that hog roast if he'd made it this far. I was rooting for Sylvia, it was fun watching her experience unfamiliar American cuisine and sometimes reimagining them in an Italian way. She started the season strong and seemed to be building momentum until last week, but that potato salad looked a mess. Considering she said she wanted to avoid the heaviness of mayo, I was surprised that the dish looked so sodden, and then for Gail to describe it as slimy....Eww. I'm gonna need less Emily talking heads. One thing Katsuji is right about is that she always seems to be whining about something or someone.
  11. I'm sure the Dude Bros are eating this shit up.
  12. +1 and bad eyebrows. I also couldn't remember who Amanda was, and now that I know she's from the D.C season....I still don't remember her. I think my brain blocked out anyone from that season that wasn't Tiffany, Angelo or Kevin. John is 58?! He looks great, especially when you factor in the past drug and alcohol abuse.
  13. I want Simon to be my Negan. He's an asshole, but I like him! I was on edge with Gregory during their conversation, and lol'ed when he grabbed all of the scotch to regift to Negan. It felt cathartic to finally see Glenn and Abraham being mourned. Maggie Rhee for Hilltop leader #Imwithher
