Well, it was early! And by the way, why should I read posts that happen after I go to bed? Don't you people realize it's all about me? Hee!

I did mean for the C, though, just forgot to format it as such, sorry about that AwesomO. But, good on you climbing inside my head and figuring out what I wanted anyway! That must have been scary for you, it's routinely frightening for me on a daily basis! One might even say it's Horrific?

  • Love 1

No problem, DDD. And don't worry, it's already pretty scary in my brain so I'm used to it...

Here's your hairy Hs... long, beautiful hairy Hs...

(Actually I think that's also in Hair, but maybe not the stage version? I only saw the Treat Williams / Beverly D'Angelo / John Savage movie version, which I recommend by the way. Here's their version of Aquarius.)

Some alto As coming right up....

Sorry - major errands I had to run, so ate dinner out with Mum.

Oh, and another great musical, Omegamom. (I'm kinda picky - and eclectic - about my musicals.) Loved the movie with Ted Neely as Jesus (have the album), and saw a stage adaption where he also played Jesus. Both hubby and I use "tell the rabble to be quiet... (we anticipate a riot.)" It also helps that "rabble, rabble, rabble" crosses over - amusingly - with South Park.

Okay, just get to the puzzle already, geesh...

Manchester, England, England... across the Atlantic Sea, and

We starve, Look at one another, short of breath...

Perfectly, Imdreamer.

No sound at all! We hardly speak a word! (But we give a lot of Ns!)

A more obscure one...can you identify the musical? I love it.

Weirdly, I couldn't and had to look it up... and I say weirdly, because - and this is so weird - I was in this play in 1976 in middle school, but the most bizarre thing of all... none of the songs I remember us doing were the ones I saw in Wikipedia for either the stage play or the movie, though I'm sure some had to be the same? It's so bizarre, because I remember a few that were done, even though I was only in the ensemble ones and one set in England... because we had scenes in England in our version of 1776. I know because I played a tweenie - there were 3 of us - and we sang the song:

"We're three little tweenies. We clean for the queenie." I don't remember the entire song, but I remember the verse:

"Sometimes we're daring and simply not caring

And sneak in his majesty's cubby

We nip at his brandy

Then everything's dandy

And then we go back to our scrubby."

And there was a part about washing our aprons once a year, and my solo line was "My back it is aching" and there was "one 'ell of a mess is this"  There were about 3 verses. Basically we were the bawdy (for Middle School), comic relief? All we did was the one song and then commented and spied on the political proceedings of the king and queen like a quaint version of Devious Maids (maybe?)

But in the play, we also sang a song "1776 is the year, in the city of brotherly love. This document noble will make it all clear, that the price of our freedom is dear." I think this was our opening song. I also remember Benjamin Franklin singing a song called "Bric'a'Brac and Ticky Tack" which I don't see in the real one either, so yeah. I'm really confused and... disillusioned?

Oh, yeah, puzzle...

I am a Pirate King! And it is, it is a glorious thing to be a pirate king...

Heh, I got this one.

Sam:  Dude. I'll admit we've gone pretty ghetto with spellwork before, but this takes the cake. I mean, a Spongebob placemat instead of an altar cloth?

Dean: We'll just put it Spongebob side down.

Nothing like showing up after everyone else has done all the work, eh?  Sorry 'bout that, It's been weird 'round here though.  4 day headache destroyed my weekend (and the start of the week) and then my oldest announced he's moving out~next week. And he's totally unprepared!  Ack.  Kermit flail.

  • Love 4

Okay, short one, 'cause apparently I'm going to be spending my free time helping someone pack/move/set up their first home.   There goes my weekend *and* my holiday on Wednesday.

P.S.  Omegamom that is just wrong!

Okay, more "chick lit" than bodice ripper, but still, false advertising:

Oh, so that's what happened to Madeline after she grew a little older... she got sucked into a worm hole and ended up in Puritan New England. Good to know.

"Alas poor Yorick, I knew him, Horatio..."?
