Odi! Well, a version of him anyway. I was trying to remember what happened to Odi. Did he commit suicide?

I thought the synth religion story was quite interesting. The synth were trying to find meaning in their existence so they invented a creation myth based on David Elster. Anatole was acting very human, refusing to give up his beliefs in spite of evidence that what he had believed was wrong. I had expected Max to die so I was pleasantly surprised when he survived his fight with Anatole.

Watching this episode, I couldn't help thinking, "this could never have been made in the US!" Not only did we have a leader hypocritically embracing religion to further his viewpoint and rejecting any evidence to the contrary (even from people who actually knew his "Messiah"), we had a mother off handedly espousing pro Choice views to her pregnant daughter.

Thank God (Thank the Elster?) that Max is finally stepping up to lead rather than just going, "Hey, be nice everyone!" Still not quite sure how the Robo-Supremacist Synths think they can fight given that ultimately, the government can just turn off the power

The idea that the government might have a plan that involves going, "Oh no - we're not killing the Synths, they just happen to be all dying!" was depressingly believable.

He allowed himself to power down, IIRC, so the Synth equivalent of starving himself to death. Presumably somebody salvaged his memory core and uploaded  it into a new (identical) body?

During the Max vs. Anatole debate at the rail yard, I was hoping that Sam would pipe up with, "Leo? You know Leo too?"

It was nice to see Stanley thinking for himself instead of just blindly following Anatole's orders.

The most surprising thing about the Basswood "recall" plan is that they waited this long to implement it.

Odi!!
