Cekrypton1 July 10, 2018 Share July 10, 2018 I was disappointed that the couple at the end turned out to be future famous people, or that Mr. Delano's sons hid themselves from gold thieves by changing their name to Gallo and they--Ernest and Julio--eventually bought the vineyard in California. I remember in later years pre-famous historical figures would flit through Walnut Grove. There was an episode that implied Col. Sanders stole Nellie's friend chicken recipe. 1 Link to comment
Blergh July 29, 2018 Share July 29, 2018 At the end the old miner burns himself to death and Charles discovers his remains, buries them beneath the creek next to the desecrated remains of the miner's late wife. Then Charles lies to Laura that he'd gotten the miner to not blame Laura for blabbing about the hidden gold before whispering to Caroline the miner's actual fate and insisting she never tell Laura then they all abruptly leave Gold Country. So if this series was supposed to be based on her 'memories' does this mean that Caroline eventually DOES tell Laura the miner's actual fate despite Charles's pleas? Link to comment
