Trini March 3, 2021 Share March 3, 2021 Tom posted a photo of all the Wellses in the season 7 premiere: https://www.instagram.com/p/CL8BkF8jzQX/ Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/7125-tom-cavanagh-aka-harrison-wells-eobard-thawne-etc/page/3/#findComment-6639093
Trini March 28, 2021 Share March 28, 2021 So - did they actually grant my wish and bump Tom down to recurring? He wasn't in the credits for the first time, I think. He's been listed before, even when he's not in the episode. I'm sure Tom will still be appearing in the show, though. Might have to wait and see how he's listed next time he's on the show. It's interesting that there hasn't been any announcement or anything. When JLM had to take time off because of his back injury TPTB put out a statement. Starry March 30, 2021 Share March 30, 2021 It's odd that he wasn't in the opening credits but Tom has always missed the first two episodes of the season. If he doesn't show up in 7x06, I'll consider the possibility that they've bumped him down to recurring. Trini May 25, 2021 Share May 25, 2021 Not really news, IMO, but Tom Cavanagh says that he and Reverse Flash could always come back to the show, in this interview at TVLine. He also has comments about his characters and costumes, and working on the show with the cast. Trini May 30, 2021 Share May 30, 2021 So Season 6 was supposed to be Tom C.'s exit; now I'm wondering if the "Timeless Wells" (original Harrison Wells) twist was always planned? Wallace said they had to rewrite some of those last Season 6/first Season 7 episodes. "All's Well that Ends Wells" was a pretty good exit of Tom and his characters; but then they immediately resurrected original Harrison - in an end scene that was probably tacked on post-pandemic. Maybe there were contract stipulations that required writing him back in to fulfill a certain number of episodes? Now that we know that Season 6 was supposed to be his last season (as a regular) it just makes the Timeless Wells twist seem even weirder to me.
