S01.E21: The Age of Darkness

Despite her best efforts, Beverly is crushed when she cannot console Erica when her boyfriend, Drew Kremp, dumps her. So Murray steps in to help his daughter. Meanwhile, Barry is obsessed with a new arcade game (Punch-Out!!) and continually asks Pops for money to play. When he takes the situation to a desperate level involving Adam, an intervention is planned

Damn you Goldbergs?  How do you make me love you more and more?

 

This was just a great, great episode.  Wonderful from the first to the last moment.  This is the only show currently on the air that makes me smile and yet also feel a bit teary at the same time.

 

Other shows should watch this and hang their heads in shame that they aren't a tenth as good.

My observations: 

 

• Loved that they got an actual Punch-Out!! arcade cabinet and with, I'm assuming, Nintendo's blessing;
• Drew Kremp it hawt; 
• And so was Erica's other date.

 

Beyond that, I loved the episode. The show can do no wrong in my book.

Beverly & Erica hanging out the window yelling was one of the funniest things! I rewatched that scene several times.

I love, love, love this show!  One of my favorite parts was when Erica told her mother that her mood ring had been black for a week.  I've had weeks like that too.
