Could Catherine have looked any more uncomfortable with Lyle?  They've been together since they were teenagers?  I would have thought they just met.  It looked like several times Lyle was going in for a kiss and she did that coy move of turning and looking down.  Also, Lyle is weird.

Lyle kinda creeps me out. He's like a big clumsy caveman. But then again, Catherine doesn't appear to be much of a prize herself. Which means they're perfect for each other!

May not seem crazy but she is stupid to the nth degree.

It feels like Catherine has been halfheartedly holding on to Lyle for years, hoping someone better will come along?  Also, it's, like, 3.5 hours from Savannah to Atlanta.  WHY DIDN'T SHE JUST GO WITH HIM?  When she started into her explanation about, "Lyle moved away for work" and the whole welcome home party, I thought maybe I had misunderstood and he was in Asia or something!

Catherine vaguely resembles Droopy Dog with long blonde hair and has a blandly droll, closet alcoholic personality to match. Given the vibe we've gotten from the rest of Savannah's single men on this show, Lyle's probably as good a man as she could possibly ever rate there.

I am glad you said this because I thought the same thing.  All I can think while watching her is that she's nasty, mean-girl, drunk.  I get the impression she's drunk, or at least put several back, in her talking heads.
