I think part of it is Melissa doesn't do the whole "overreact for the camera" thing. At all. Like, when Mackenzie does her "there's a twist" or whatever during the initial challenge description at the start of the episode, the camera catches Melissa just standing there listening, while everyone around her mugs and jumps.
