This is, like, the sixth time I've seen this comment in reference to this s/l, and it's honestly freaking me out. I'm extremely disappointed that Rayna knew something was off and then nothing came of it, and that it appears Spoiler Scarlett is going to have a fling with this awful, unprofessional, abusive asshole. I want him to suffer some consequences (Zach too), but it's too late for that without it negatively affecting Rayna and The Exes as well. Because as long as they're not throwing things at you and it's not being done to you because you're a member of a protected class and as long as their boss doesn't take issue with it, they technically have the right. I'm not saying it's good management or the right way to go but the only recourse one really has in this instance is to exercise one's right to quit that job. I think Damian is representing that subset of tempermental directeurs terribles out there who throw hissy fits. Some people can't stand to work with them and others have no problem. 2 Link to comment
smartymarty February 7, 2017 Share February 7, 2017 I was on Scarlett's side. It wasn't just that the character Damien wanted to portray was not Scarlett (though she maybe has a right to defend her reputation on that, not wanting to appear as a sex kitten). I thought she objected because the character was demeaning to women and gross. It portrayed a relationship based on sexual power games. I'm guessing the song had nothing to do with that. When Rayna questioned it too, I was like "Yes! Now they'll make a statement on this. Rayna will shut it down!" But then that whole theme collapsed. Link to comment
