formerlyfreedom July 15, 2016 Share July 15, 2016 A contagious disease spreads downstairs and Lillian ends up quarantined with the sick servants; Beatrice and Frederick go on a double date; Victor and Albert get into a quarrel over their barbershop quartet. Link to comment
thuganomics85 July 21, 2016 Share July 21, 2016 Knew Lillian's brief bond (and even that is a stretch) with the servants wasn't going to last very long. At least she's developed a love for gruel now! Albert and Victor forming barbershop quartet with Marquis de Sainsbery was something I never knew I wanted. I like them bringing back some of the characters from last season again. Frederick and Beatrice are so fucked up, but I can't help but to crack up over them. And both of their spouses/fiancee going behind their backs as well is certainly fitting. 1 Link to comment
amensisterfriend July 21, 2016 Share July 21, 2016 Frederick and Beatrice are so fucked up, but I can't help but to crack up over them. I shudder to even consider what this says about me, but I adore their interactions and find them some of the funniest parts of the entire show :) I love how the show hilariously stomped all over the usual trope about the sweet, innocent little moppet singing, popping out with adorable lines and reminding the adults of what's truly important. Blanche is a minor character but such a great one---I love how she ever so unconvincingly declared that she's never done anything bad, not like, say, throwing anyone down a flight of stairs or anything... 2 Link to comment
Amethyst July 22, 2016 Share July 22, 2016 Lillian trying to bond with the servants was hilarious. And I loved the coda with the little girl at the end. Of course Lillian wasn't going to change, but at least she recognized the servants for a little while. Garfield and Flobelle's flirtation is cute. Was there a missing joke about the gruel tasting like cigarettes? I thought it would reveal Hamish or someone was using the gruel supply as an ashtray. Much as I love Albert and Victor, that was barely a C-plot, and they could have left it out. It was funny to see them basically re-enact American Idol, though. Link to comment
iMonrey July 22, 2016 Share July 22, 2016 Did anyone happen to jot down the things wrong with Frederick that Celery listed? The first one was "doesn't understand how soup works" and the last one was "is afraid of clouds" but the whole bit had me laughing so hard I've forgotten the other ones! I always get a kick out of Kurt Braunohler whenever he's on @midnight with Chris Hardwick so it was a pleasant surprise to see him here. 1 Link to comment
Omega Mu July 22, 2016 Share July 22, 2016 Continuity error, but I only noticed this because I personally know the actress. Last week Mr Peepers called the blonde maid Susan and took her broom and called it a limbo stick. This week the same woman was introduced to Lillian as Pearl, her old wet nurse and constant companion. I'll just say that one of those is her real name, lol. Link to comment

I remember Celery said that Frederick believes that he has a twin brother that lives in the mirror, lol. I also like Kurt, having seen him do a segment on Drunk History on the history of surfing in Australia. He was very funny. Just learned that Natasha Leggero is married to Moshe Kasher, who plays the doctor. I think that was the first time we've seen them do a scene together. Link to comment
Arwen Evenstar July 23, 2016 Share July 23, 2016 We haven't seen much of Mayor Cutie this season. I love how ridiculous Mayor Cutie makes Lillian look. Celery was hilarious. You can tell she's utterly disappointed in Frederick as a husband. That scene with her getting her freak on with Beatrice's date was priceless. Link to comment
ganesh July 28, 2016 Share July 28, 2016 Lillian is saving "the family fortune and her rear virginity for her second marriage". The line reading made it gold. 1 Link to comment
