The hatchet wound was hysterical, it took me a minute to realize the play on words, even though I knew what it looked like. Even with the nonfunctional top part. The babies face when they threw the hatchet was great! Glad they go rid of the kid,he has been in everything lately.

Frederick!  I never knew how much I missed him until I saw him, totally taking his job as "King of Rhode Island" seriously, by playing Jacks and just letting his wife vote on the bills (who is racist, of course!  Boo!  For shame, Missi Pyle!)  And then, naturally, he is jealous of freaking Baby Kermit and was even willing to use the poor guy to block a potential hatchet throw.  Ha!  Jason Ritter really is spectacular in this role.

I would totally watch an entire segment of Peepers just dismissing various kids who are not worthy to be servants.  Michael Ian Black can just make any insult work.  Garfield vs. the kid was surprising, because I thought they were going to drag that thing out, so him already being exposed and booted was great.  And he lost his thumbs!  And then Peepers with the “You’re lucky I don’t make you hitchhike! Because you have no thumbs!”, to cap it off.  I love this show!

All the stuff with Beatrice/Albert and Lillian/Victor was great.  It took me a while to see where they were going with Albert's "hatchet wound", but once it did, I could not stop laughing.

Chair awoke!  I so can't wait for Christina Hendricks to let lose with the smirking evil again.

This season is off to a nearly perfect start! Hilarious, clever, and so perfectly cast and acted.

I'm such a sucker for any jokes that show how the elite genuinely don't get that servants are people. I also always take it as a funny jab at Downton Abbey when they mock the idea that servants are ever-so-happy with their roles. (I like DA a lot, but a frequently raised criticism is that it depicted the servants as too pleased with their lot in life.)

The only character I don't have much interest in seeing is Dodo. Was she even in this episode?! I honestly can't remember!

I'm way too happy about this!

I was not aware "hatchet wound" was a euphemism for vulva until someone mentioned it upthread, but that's way too specific a joke to be an accident, right? They had to have chosen a hatchet injury specifically to set up this joke. And Albert sustained his injury way back in episode 3 of last season. That's a really long time to plan out a subtle play on words gag in a brand new show. My god this show is brilliant.

I was both grossed out and in tears about the hatchet wound. I can't believe that got by the network.

OMG, that was epic! I too was surprised it got past the censors, given how much it looked like lady bits.
