I was scheduling the recording for this one and saw that earlier in the day, the channel is airing "Signed Sealed Delivered: The Impossible Dream" - i never heard of this one, was it an unaired movie or something?? Anyways, that's two new SSD movies for me in one day, i am happy happy happy!

ETA: i tracked it down - worth watching for anyone, like me, who missed it whenever it aired - it's the follow up to the story about the missing soldier mom, with sweet grandfatherly Cigarette Smoking Man.

Double ETA: It's raining on my face. Can't wait for next sunday!

I was really enjoying the flashback story but it kind of took a not-so-feelgood turn.  I thought it'd be revealed that he only thought he killed a man.  But nope, a rich teen who started scamming the competition by making her fall in love with him (because this is what he does) gets drunk when she doesn't take kindly to the truth and kills a homeless man.  But hey, he's young so he can get his record expunged and go on to be governor.

So I think it was a good premise but I don't think it came off, or at least not to me, as quite as heartwarming and these stories usually do.

Still, I did like the movie and being back with the postables again.  A lot.

I finally got around to seeing this. I'm sorry, but Oliver’s story about the clown who caused the mailbox to explode made me laugh my ass off, especially how he blamed himself for the mail getting exploded. How do they write something like that & keep a straight face?

Finally got to see this and wow, this is a cynical viewing. I see rich kid who starts to scam the competition, only to find himself actually being challenged by and falling for her, only to be crushed by having his past actions come up and ruin the good thing he had discovered. Heartbroken, he drinks himself into a stupor, blacks out, remembers what he did when he sobers up, realizes he screwed up, pays the piper, and devotes his life to making amends.

But hey, why be sympathetic when it's someone with money?
