Haleth August 19, 2015 Share August 19, 2015 Wow. I hadn't seen yesterday's show on it's first run so I was floored at Raven's comments about how "her generation" wants to be informed. First of all, isn't she pushing 30? Why is she speaking for 18yos? Anyway, her contention was that the information has to be brought to young people (by candidates? news organizations?) because they can't be bothered to read a book. Holy moly, this is either very lazy thinking or very entitled thinking. Probably both. For once I was glad Whoopi brought the "here is how it is" speech and told her to do her own damn homework. 7 Link to comment
TheGreenKnight August 19, 2015 Share August 19, 2015 i just happened to see a little bit of Monday's repeat (the one where Whoopi's cat crapped on her pillow). I don't remember Mario making that joke to Raven, although I have a vague memory of this show. She said she couldn't remember him and he said, of course she couldn't, after such a long and illustrious career... LOL What a warped perception she must have. Wasn't there some episode, too, where Nicolle said she didn't know Raven was famous? 2 Link to comment
MatchaLove August 21, 2015 Share August 21, 2015 I had not previously watched the episode that aired today….turned it on when Brian Wilson and wife walked out. Whoopi is just delusional in the way she always gets all rock n'roll with musical artists---like she's their equal. It was not over the top today, but it reminded me how she often chimes in that she "hangs" with Mick and Keith. And Bruce Springsteen, Bono etc. etc. She has indeed met these people at events or functions, but there is no way in the world Mick Jagger is in town and he calls fu***g Whoopi Goldberg to hang out (she once eluded to that). No way. And it was funny to see the disgust coming off Molly Sims toward Raven during that beauty segment. Something could be right in front of you every day, but then really hits….Raven really is terrible for this sort of show. Just an unlikable moron. 7 Link to comment

She's like this with everyone, including civil rights activists from the 60s, sex gurus, psychologists, mothers, fathers, fighters, movie stars, voice actors, economists, young people, old people, god. She has to let all us peons know her right and only opinion on all things and it's one of the biggest reasons this show sucks, imo. She's chased any semblance of this show working away and yet still they bend over for her. She must really have the goods! 8 Link to comment

She pretends like she knows them so well and been BFF's for decades....rather than at a large gathering or in the audience. Rather than remember when we......I understand some, like Robin Willaims, but not most. The she goes back to her bolivating demeanor to lesser celebrites and regular people. Well, when realizing she is losing her audience and reverts to valley girl or old persons view or makes a joke about her boobs or body functions Edited August 22, 2015 by maggiemae 4 Link to comment

She obviously knows her more than a casual cocktail party situation (hello, Color Purple). It was very telling when Oprah hosted those "Legend Balls" to celebrate amazing, talented women of color at her magnificent estate in Montecito. She invited actors, singers, musicians, authors---every single living icon she admired and blazed the trail. Never included Whoopi. Oprah is obviously a very deep-thinking, compassionate person, and the fact that she detests Whoopi so much means old Whoopi must really be a trainwreck (and/or a f*****g bitch) behind closed doors.
