She remembers him as a nice guy as well as a good actor. Charlie Utter is such a lovely character. God, this show (and GoTH) is having quite an effect on me in terms of believing in nonviolence. Everyone should have a Charlie in their lives, as a friend and protector. He just doesn't know what to do for her, and yet he promised Bill he'd look after her, and of course his own decency would have led him to do it anyway.
