Trini March 16, 2015 Share March 16, 2015 http://www.dreamworks.com/home/ http://www.meettheboov.com/ When Oh, a loveable misfit from another planet, lands on Earth and finds himself on the run from his own people, he forms an unlikely friendship with an adventurous girl named Tip who is on a quest of her own. Through a series of comic adventures with Tip, Oh comes to understand that being different and making mistakes is all part of being human. And while he changes her planet and she changes his world, they discover the true meaning of the word HOME. ------ So this is the first major computer animated film with a black girl as the lead, and I want it to do well; but I don't think the marketing for this is really telling people what the film is about and why they should go see it. It's also weird to me that Tip is supposed to be a teen, but the character design reads much younger. Link to comment

Trini March 17, 2015 Author Share March 17, 2015 My guess is that originally the character was younger, then they aged her up for story purposes, but they didn't change the design... much. Link to comment
funkopop March 30, 2015 Share March 30, 2015 (edited) I watched this over the weekend. It was cute and I may have gotten a little teary when Tip and her mom reunited. I think Rihanna did a very good job with her voice acting. Tip was so cute and plucky and Oh was adorable. As far as her age, I don't remember if they explicitly stated how old she is but she did mention that 7th grade girls are mean so she is middle school aged, 6th or 7th grader herself. missbonnie April 1, 2015 Share April 1, 2015 Took my niece and nephew to this, they liked it. I spent a lot of time looking at my watch. Link to comment
Rosieroo April 1, 2015 Share April 1, 2015 I teared up a few times myself. Tip was adorable and I loved the mangled language from the Boovs. I enjoyed it but it wasn't Toy Story. Link to comment
DrSpaceman April 10, 2015 Share April 10, 2015 This was a perfectly fine and enjoyable movie, but nothing special. For one thing I honestly was not sure if Tip was supposed to be a boy or girl until she went into the girls bathroom at the gas station. And the age thing bugged me too....she can drive, but she is in middle school? Link to comment
Fairlily26 July 7, 2015 Share July 7, 2015 Just watched it on Demand and it was great!Yes, there were some plot holes, but its a kid's movie! I loved it! I cried like a baby at the end, but I think I can blame that on pregnancy hormones. Dreamworks always has a way of making aliens have personalities that are just so lovable! I really enjoyed it and can't wait to show it to my daughter! Link to comment
JessePinkman July 7, 2015 Share July 7, 2015 I saw this a few weeks ago and teared up MULTIPLE times. I blame that damn song they kept repeating. And I'm someone who doesn't care for Jim Parsons or Rihanna but they were so great in this. I'm sure it helped that I couldn't see their faces. Link to comment
