starri February 15, 2015 Share February 15, 2015 A bright college student lured into the world of bondage and domination by a friend. She said no -- and didn’t survive the night. Was it murder? Troy Roberts investigates. So, we get "Twenty Hues of Charcoal" in an episode whose timing is I'm sure completely random. CBS News would like to remind you that anyone into anything slightly kinky should be ashamed of him/herself and not be allowed to be around normal people. Am I the only one who thinks Troy Roberts is a bit dim? 1 Link to comment
psychoticstate February 16, 2015 Share February 16, 2015 This infuriated me. Kat McDonough getting three years is a crime in and of itself. Her boyfriend, can't remember his name, was a sweaty, greasy, disgusting mess. 3 Link to comment
travel9x February 16, 2015 Share February 16, 2015 This happened where I work so this case was in the news a lot. One thing that 48 hours did not mention was that Seth Mazzaglia (not sure of the spelling) refused to attend the sentencing hearing; they were going to court over it and he decided at the last minute to attend. They also did not cover the number of terrible stories and rumors about him and his sleazy behavior. 2 Link to comment
birdmom February 16, 2015 Share February 16, 2015 He was so gross. About Troy Roberts, I was thinking the same thing. He looks like he's sedated. Link to comment
Morbs February 18, 2015 Share February 18, 2015 (edited) I didn't think the show implied at all that S&M was wrong, just this guy was a major creep. Posting an email looking for an anonymous sexual partner using the words "My lord" is always going to read as creepy. I'm sure there is a huge overlap between people who read 50 Shades and people who watch true crime shows. Edited February 18, 2015 by Morbs Link to comment
zxy556575 February 22, 2015 Share February 22, 2015 I'm not in any way blaming Lizzie, but there were a lot of gaps the narrative that left me wondering. Why would a lesbian in a committed relationship agree to play strip poker with a couple of people she barely knew? Where was Lizzie's girlfriend? Long distance? We never heard a peep from her. Wasn't she also worried when Lizzie went missing? Was she ever a suspect? No blood at the apartment, no evidence in the car of moving the body? The whole story just didn't hang together. I don't doubt that Seth killed Lizzie and that Kat was complicit in both planning it beforehand and helping him afterwards. She should have gotten at least 10 years. Stupid plea bargains.
