I mean I knew they didn't get paid while schools take in millions. But I never considered things like athletes left with permanent debilitating injuries or useless degrees or in some cases both. It made it especially crazy when they showed the number of athletes recruited for football and basketball and then the tiny number that make the NFL/NBA. John Oliver did an episode on that.
