Anela April 26 Share April 26 I need to try to sleep, but I want to keep watching. I knew they were all in on it. But she set up the other guy to get killed, too. Poor Teddy. Everything he said was correct. Poor Maddie, too. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153263-s05e05-last-dance/#findComment-8646126
Spartan Girl April 26 Author Share April 26 Kate ripping Joe a new one was great, but Teddy reading Kate for filth was more awesome. “Complicity has consequences.” Indeed. Joe isn’t even subtle about his love bombing now that he’s rich. It’s so transparent it’s actually pathetic. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153263-s05e05-last-dance/#findComment-8646133
bettername2come April 26 Share April 26 Well, great on the continuing theme of Joe not being able to tell acting from reality. And I like that social media he probably hates is potentially gonna bring him down. But I worry he's going to be able to get out of it. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153263-s05e05-last-dance/#findComment-8646450
Paloma April 27 Share April 27 The ending of this episode did not make sense to me. (Even less sense than the rest of this season.) If this was all a big plot to either blackmail Joe or expose him as not being the Prince Charming the world thinks he is, why did Bronte/Louise have sex with him in that beach house just before Clayton and the others came in to confront and/or record him? Even if she had a camera in the bedroom, it should have been obvious that it was consensual (despite being tied up) and she was enjoying it, so she couldn't accuse him of rape--though I guess it's possible that someone could interpret it that way if there is no sound. I'm assuming that they were not expecting to be able to blackmail or expose him as a murderer, since Clayton's murder happened as a result of an unplanned fight (you could even view Joe's actions as protection of Bronte/Louise and self-defense, at least until he started banging Clayton's head on the floor). Another thing that has been bugging me is how the investigators for Reagan and/or Kate found out that Joe framed a student for one of his murders in London. Although I don't remember which murder that was, I do remember that the student (I think her name was Nadia) had refused to say anything--she did not accuse Joe. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153263-s05e05-last-dance/#findComment-8646673

Although I don't remember which murder that was, I do remember that the student (I think her name was Nadia) had refused to say anything--she did not accuse Joe. I’m also confused, but I think Brontë/Louise is basically the only character on the entire show not trying to blackmail anyone. Since the murder (or aftermath thereof) was on a live social media stream, there is no leverage to blackmail Joe. Since this whole group considers themselves creatives and writers, I wouldn’t be surprised if this was all some esoteric improv piece. End scene! But also because Brontë referenced the first dead girl’s book (sorry, I don’t remember the first season obsession’s name) and they also referenced there being some other book about Joe and Kate and Love’s death and whatever else came out about Reed and Joe’s student, which is enough of an odd coincidence that why are all of these people in Joe’s life dying in high-profile circumstances? I’m presuming voracious reader Louise put two and two together, was suspicious about Joe, and because she’s a chaos magnet, decided to investigate herself, clearly confirming everything during the course of their “relationship” and set up an exciting denouement for her own book she’s going to write about it. I mean, if everyone else on this show is willing to blackmail and manipulate and murder for their own careers, why not a struggling writer, too? But, I don’t know, before this I was kind of rooting for Brontë to be killed because I can’t take a minute more of her manic pixie dream girl overacting. I’m hoping she’ll just chill the f out and just be a normal person now if all that was just part of her act to trap Joe. On the other hand, actress playing both twins, keep hamming it up, girl! Love it! Edited May 9 by JenE4 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/153263-s05e05-last-dance/#findComment-8657279
