Sharks-Barbara, Robert, Mark, Kevin, Lori

Jane Foodie-A new twist on frozen food, healthy and tasty. Jane is seeking $300,000 for 15%. Made from scratch, no preservatives.  Fresh food in a flash.  Food flavors sound amazing.  Sharks love the food. Not all frozen food is flash frozen to preserve the nutrition.   She used to have a company Boxed in Blooms, had a heart attack, and changed how she ate.  Sales are $1.1 million 2024 $180,000 sales, doing everything herself, can’t find a copacker.   Sells online for 10%, 90% through her two cafes, and locally. Margins are decent.    The cafes have huge freezers so the food is available there too.  Her company includes the two cafes, and wants to go retail.   Robert says pop-up shops/cafes may be a good option.  Jane says she would like to go retail, and Mark hates that.    Maybe somewhere like Whole Foods would be a good partner?   She needs a copacker, and maybe a Shark could find one.   Kevin is out.  Mark says café business and on-site sales are her way forward, he’s out.  Barbara offers $300,000 for 33%.  Robert is out.  Lori offers $300,000 for 28% and wants to go retail.

Lori $300,000 for 25%

Airtulip-a state-of-the-art air purifier that works while one sleeps.  Dr  Arjen Dejong is seeking $400,000 for4 %. It’s a headboard for the bed, makes a clean zone over the bed.   Kevin says it’s very quiet.  It’s $3,000 each.  Margins are 50%, they have no sales except the Crowdfunding.   Mark says they can do it for hospitals, cribs, and getting FDA approval as a medical device will take a long time.    They will sell in boutique hotels, and online.   Mark suggests through mattress stores.  Mark is out.  Robert is out.  Barbara is out.   Lori says it’s too early and she’s out.   Kevin offers $400,000 for 20%, he will do a distribution plan.

No deal.

Sock Candy-sheer socks with flair. Mary is seeking $150,000 for 5%.  Socks are sheer fabric with decoration on them.   They come in larger sizes too.   Nylon and cotton, reinforced cotton toe and heel.  The decoration is embroidered.   Socks are crew height, and added tights and leggings. Prices are good, margins are 50%   $1.4 million for 2024, $300,000 profit.  She would love to launch with Target.   Mark is out.  Robert is out.  Lori is out, she doesn’t like socks.  Kevin offers $150,000 for 12 ½ %, and can get her meetings with Target and Walmart.    Barbara $150,000 for 15%, and she will get her a meeting with Target.

Deal Barbara with for $150,000, and 10%.

Ruff Liners- a rugged liner to protect car seats from active pets.   is seeking $200,000 for 5%.  Covers for the back seat, covers the seat, doors, and floor.  It velcros to the door tops.   Margins are good.  He has a patent.   There used to be a competitor Kozy K-9, but they don't sell anymore as near as I can tell.  He sells on Amazon, 2023 $1.25 million, with $1 million in the last quarter.  $3/1 million for 2024, hopefully $5.5 million total.   He wants to bring everything in-house, including marketing.   Customer acquisition cost is low.   He's full time with his company.  Mark is out.   Kevin offers $200,000 for 20%.   Lori is worried about future knock offs and is out. Barbara offers $1 million credit line, and help with social; $200,000 at 20%, with the credit line.   Robert ofers $200,000 for 10%, with a royalty, $2 per unit until he pays it back says keep going on Amazon, and branch out from there.  Kevin will do the same as Robert.

Deal with Robert $200,000 for 10% with $1 royalty.

Update- Prime 6 for sustainable charcoal from scrap wood, deal with Kevin.   Sales are $6.5 million in 4 years, and they have their operation in Fairmont, WV.      Another Gemini Google Workspace ad.

Sock Candy has been around a while. I bought some socks from them before a high school reunion a couple years ago. They do sell a larger size for the big footed among us who can’t wear “one size fits all” socks. They are pretty delicate but quite eye catching.

My peeve with the headboard guy is how big the device is behind the headboard. It sticks way out so your bed couldn’t be against a wall. I found adding an extra air purifier to the bedroom solved our allergy issues for a fraction of what this headboard costs.

This was actually a $1 royalty.  Robert offered $2 and then Kevin offered $1 and then Robert said he would do that deal.

Thanks!   i don't have recording capability, and so I miss some of it.   I always appreciate a correction when I miss something.

Wow.  You do that live?  With as much as they talk over each other that can’t be easy.

I get cable through the Spectrum app, so for recording it would cost at least $20 a month more, and I refuse to do that.    I looked at streaming everything, but that would cost even more than Spectrum does, so I do the best I can.     I really appreciate the people on Reddit who post the pitches in order, that makes it easier.    And they have so many commercials that I can catch up.

Wow... Very much respect for you! I always read your opening post before I watch the show.

That Ruff Liners dog was so chill. Just napping in the back seat while everybody else yapped.

I live in a leaky old house with two dogs, so I know all about indoor air pollution. A few strategically placed portable units do the trick for us, though. And for many people with newer houses, central air conditioning will do all the filtering they need. I don’t see that product taking off.

I did a lot of shopping for protective seat covers before buying my SUV, and there were a TON of products like Ruff Liners on Amazon. Still are. If he really holds a patent for that style, he’s going to spend a lot of time and energy swatting back the knockoffs. I was interested in getting some door liners like he offers, but my car manual said not to get anything that’s inserted into the window channel because it will destroy the factory tint.

The socks are cute, but there are a ton of knockoffs of those on Amazon as well. I also worry about small business owners like her who source from China. (I assume Ruff Liners does, too.) I wonder how long it will take for the new tariffs to knock them (and many other Shark Tank alumni) out of business. Big companies may be able to absorb some of the higher costs, but small businesses will have little choice but to pass them along to the consumer. And nobody’s going to pay $45 for a pair of nylon socks.
