I'm curious if the age difference between Jerry and his new roommates is going to come up again with something more significant. It could be something interesting to explore.

The clothing store scenes were great. I like that they’re having great guest stars each episode.

Arthur could make a fortune without working for an actual store. Charge women a flat rare ($X per hour) to give them a honest opinion of what they are thinking about buying and also make suggestions on what they should buy. He makes money whether they buy something or not and it doesn't matter what they buy. He makes the same fee if they buy a $200 dress or a $2,000 dress.

The Donny Osmond fiasco with Jerry is painfully cringey. 😬

Arthur is clearly based on Andre Leon Talley (Anna Wintour’s #2 at Vogue, and the inspiration for Stanley Tucci’s character in The Devil Wears Prada).

The idea that anyone with a career like his would be reduced to working at some random Palm Springs shop is pretty silly.

But that’s what actually happened to Talley. He was on the outs from Vogue and was in reduced circumstances. Yes it’s a fictional version of what happened, but he was living on borrowed money.

After Talley left Vogue, he wrote his memoir, had a radio show, and continued to work in the industry. He was never anywhere close to working as some shop assistant, and he never would.
