Guildford March 28 Share March 28 Huh, I really enjoyed it. I love that they are trying new things & this was certainly different. I think it was great that they showed that Kim's promotion wasn't just a different coloured badge but they showed how much extra work she's got now. We certainly never saw it with the other two Detectives, I mean the only extra thing we ever saw either of them do was the training course at the academy which Blondie blew off because she was hungover. They didn't seem to do anything special or extra. The ease at which her and Adam work together is refreshing. I was so over the angst between those two for no reason. Yet they don't seem as insular as the other ones. I went back and watched it again once I knew the outcome to see if the things Kim remembered were actually shown, most were to some extent although a few were expanded on in Kim's flashbacks. And I am glad they didn't dwel on Kim's survivor guilt and it didn't make her go rogue which showed restraint from the writers. But maybe what I liked the most was finally Kim had some reflection on how much Adam does, and how tough the past few months have been on him as well. She has the tendency to dismiss Adam's efforts. He's basically running the house, parenting Mack & dealing with his Dad as well as his job. The dirty weekend was perfect and THAT is what ship chemistry looks like. 6 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152547-s12e16-seen-and-unseen/#findComment-8619213
FnkyChkn34 March 28 Share March 28 Here's a review that didn't love that episode... https://onechicagocenter.com/chicago-pd-continues-ignore-greatest-strengths-latest-episode?utm_source=RSS I think I'm just most surprised that it says Med and Fire have better ratings. Until the Upstead debacle, PD was my favorite and I didn't even watch Med. Now, Fire is my favorite and I think Med is good too. I don't watch CPD for the relationships as much as for the cases and police work. I thought this was a good episode. The only thing I'd want changed is for Burgess to say, Nope, can't do that, but I'll turn it in by end of day tomorrow. She's headed for some serious burnout, but her taking some time with Ruzek is a good move. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152547-s12e16-seen-and-unseen/#findComment-8619388

I read nothing one chicago center writes.... this is the site that wrote an article if we'd ever see Bunny again AFTER the actress died. I doubt they even watch the shows they get so many details wrong. PD beat both Med & Fire in the demo this week. Nintra16 March 30 Share March 30 I'm having too much fun with this season! I will have to buy it on DVD for my collection (if they still do that). Solid episode, intro was long but tied in well. Deputy Chief seems to love him some Kim Burgess. I know she's detective now, but fall back dude. She's taken lol Sad that the poor Black girl lost her life. She was so cute. I clocked the Spanish dude threatening the other guy; I was surprised Kim missed it. But I like how they relied on her flashbacks. Was genuinely surprised it wasn't him or Neal. I don't know if I bought the husband angle. There are many ways to get rid of a spouse that doesn't involve killing 5 innocent people. LOVE where Kim and Adam are now. Domesticated Adam is adorable. I laughed so hard at his struggle to help Mack with fractions and getting annoyed her playing on the tablet. The scene with Kim noticing his building stress was so important. I love how she was supportive to him at the end. Looks like next week Atwater's girl is in trouble. I can't tell you what I first thought when I saw the preview 🤭 😂 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152547-s12e16-seen-and-unseen/#findComment-8620657
