Granted, Trump with his money and private planes and whatnot could get at her with minimal effort but I'm sure she just feels safer being an ocean away from him. Expand Their feud has been going on for 20+ years, way before Trump became president. It started when she was the View moderator/co-host and just escalated from there. Her fear is all in her head. Otherwise, why didn't she leave during his FIRST TERM?? Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152288-the-view-week-of-3102025/page/2/#findComment-8608460

But for the record, not bitter at all. I just find Hollywood celebrities to be extremely shallow and self-centered. As if Trump really gives a shit whether she moves out of the country. Rosie's been threatening to leave since Trump's first term, but never did. Now she makes this big announcement on SM eight+ years later. If she really felt threatened, she would simply leave, and not post for the entire world to know. As Shrek and wife said, her attitude of "self-importance" is beyond the norm. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152288-the-view-week-of-3102025/page/2/#findComment-8608461

I would agree that some of them are shallow, but, to paint all of them with a wide brush seems a bit overreaching. Unless you have information on all of them to back this up? I guess when someone says or implies All, then that leaves a question of...how did you come by this information? From social media or some research. If I said "I just find MAGA supporters to be ill informed" (I can't speak for you) would you say "What? That's not true". 7 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152288-the-view-week-of-3102025/page/2/#findComment-8608568

Denize March 17 Share March 17 Apparently their Cotswolds neighbours don't like the constant work being done at their house. They may find the regulations on upgrading historic homes are more stringent than in California. I think that the U.S. has long had a bit of an inferiority complex compared to "Europe" because our national history is so short and our cultural options (including education) are newer, without centuries of tradition. Lately, though, many people seem to be convinced that anything done in any European country is superior to anything done here. Alyssa's point, I believe, is that European countries are not necessarily handling many of the issues any better than we are, and some of those populations aren't as "progressive" as we might think they are. On a related topic, Rosie got through the first Trump administration without moving, so does she feel there's some real threat to her and her child? Her comment about maybe coming back when it is "safe for all citizens to have equal rights there in America" was strange to me, since as far as I know, she's not in any demographic that might NOT have equal rights as a citizen. If she left because she feels that some other citizens don't have equal rights, I'm not sure what that achieves. It comes across to me like "when you guys do the work to make America as good as I would like it to be, maybe I'll come back." For me, she isn't exactly a national treasure, so it is irrelevant where she lives, and I'm guessing many people might also be unimpressed. As a person who is probably very well off, and with her potential Irish citizenship, she can live comfortably wherever she wants for as long as she wants, but it has little practical impact on the situation here. Expand He is much worse this time around and he has a lot more R support. He is on a payback tour. If I had the funds, I would be gone. Alyssa should not get a pass. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152288-the-view-week-of-3102025/page/2/#findComment-8630647
