EtheltoTillie 22 hours ago Share 22 hours ago Not a bad episode. I am really curious about the gluten free pastries. They were really raving about them. I’m not celiac but I know people who could use these. I’ve had such awful gluten free things Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152268-s16e12-kiid-coffee-goodlove-foods-happy-birdwatcher-birdseed-remento-memories/#findComment-8601920

How long did she say she'd been in business? I live 11miles from her, and I have never heard of her product. Using the store locater on her website, she only lists one store near me, and it went out of business at least 10years ago. I'm not paying an extra $12 to have it shipped to me just from the other end of the Diagonal Hwy. Her website also includes 6pages of recipes using her products that add meat, dairy, eggs, sugar, etc. That makes me wonder if what she served on the show had been embellished from its original form just to make it palatable. Are they really just heat and serve? 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152268-s16e12-kiid-coffee-goodlove-foods-happy-birdwatcher-birdseed-remento-memories/#findComment-8602038
bilgistic 15 hours ago Share 15 hours ago I don't understand the point of Kiid coffee. Old person rant incoming: when I was a kid (1970s-1980s), we didn't drink coffee because it was for grownups. Not everything is for kids or has to be for kids. Imagine that. 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152268-s16e12-kiid-coffee-goodlove-foods-happy-birdwatcher-birdseed-remento-memories/#findComment-8602124

I was thinking the same thing. And this is a premium product, I’d expect, compared to a cup of instant at home…so you get your kid hooked on this “healthier version” and then most of the time would be giving them the less healthy home brew. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152268-s16e12-kiid-coffee-goodlove-foods-happy-birdwatcher-birdseed-remento-memories/#findComment-8602166
seacliffsal 10 hours ago Share 10 hours ago Kiid coffee-said they developed it because the son had a calcium deficiency. Gee, wouldn't having him drink, I don't know, milk address this issue instead of getting him hooked on coffee drinking at 10 years old? Are parents not ensuring that their children get the necessary foods for development (and, yes, I know that many/most parents do)? Also, it so isn't the son's business as he was going to accept Kevin's offer and the dad wanted to 'discuss' it with the son and all I saw was the father telling his son who they were going to accept. I actually think Kevin was the better shark as his mailing/customer list is full of young families. The bird feeder was way too expensive. She would be better off pre-packaging regional bird feed and having customers choose from that rather than personalizing each bag. I buy 1-2 bags of 10 pound bird seed each month (waste free so I don't always have to clean up empty seed shells) so could never afford her product. I like the idea of remento but don't know how large a market it is. Wasn't there a similar product previously? I think his hook is that AI writes the stories. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152268-s16e12-kiid-coffee-goodlove-foods-happy-birdwatcher-birdseed-remento-memories/#findComment-8602174
MsVulcan 3 hours ago Share 3 hours ago During the Kiid Coffee presentation I felt the son was just being exploited for the cuteness factor. What especially nailed it for me was when he said he wanted a bigger house. Not a house, but a bigger house. Not many kids want that over a PS5 or something for kids. The whole presentation just irritated me. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152268-s16e12-kiid-coffee-goodlove-foods-happy-birdwatcher-birdseed-remento-memories/#findComment-8602369

Without a doubt the kid was being used to manipulate the sharks but that doesn't annoy me as much as, "we're offering 5% of our company for $50,000", "great, what are your sales so far?", "$75,000 lifetime sales" GTFOH!
