twoods Yest. at 03:47 AM Share Yest. at 03:47 AM I don’t know why the reviews were scathing but I thought this was pretty interesting. I never figured out who was behind this so the last two episodes dropped a lot of truth bombs. Why in the world did they try to move Mullen when there’s an angry mob outside his house? What a bunch of idiots. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151994-s01e06-episode-6/#findComment-8587906
Snazzy Daisy 5 hours ago Author Share 5 hours ago A finale that lacks emotional punch. Alex barging into Dreyer’s office, demanding him and other co-conspirators to come clean is truly absurd. Why would they want to do that? It’s so selfish of Sheila to pull “I cannot lose another child” card on George. Alex is his daughter too. President Mitchell knows that George backed-out from the re-election to protect his illegitimate daughter, Lily. The way they handle the Proteus plot is frustrating. It’s the most intriguing plot but it ends in a very anticlimactic way. A missed opportunity. They have been building-up George’s confusions and symptoms from episode 1. OVERALL: Zero Day is an average psychological drama that’s loaded with stellar, overqualified cast. I won’t call it a thriller. There’s enough to keep me watching to see where it’s going. The political conspiracy parts get too tedious especially with the cliché Evan Green. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151994-s01e06-episode-6/#findComment-8588421
Zaffy 3 hours ago Share 3 hours ago (edited) Ok, this was quite "bingeable". Well made, stellar cast and De Niro was simply amazing. There were some interesting topics and I did like Mullen's final decision, you do need to face the truth if you gonna want to have a chance to resolve the issue. There were some plot holes though, especially with the daughter. The "I did not expect to have dead people" was completely idiotic coming from someone like her. What exactly she expected? And how on earth she believed in the plotters' cause? I think her involvement with the conspiracy was more for the shock factor. Also her mother's "I do not want to loose another child" was so lame, hey lady, tell that to the mothers of the thousands that perished thanks to your child. The conspiracy. Truth to be told, world history is full with morons who craved for power and had absolutely no problem sacrificing thousands to millions to complete their quest, which was usually disguised with inspiring words and grand causes. We live in times where everyone seems lost, like a running headless chicken. We are so busy getting divided with the insignificant and we end up ruin the things that matter. So, the series might felt simplistic to some, but hell, it was right to the point.
