Karen used the change of lawyers to stall her sentencing, which was supposed to happen last month.  Now the new sentencing date is next week.  I'm sure it was the new lawyers that advised her to check into rehab ASAP.

Karen's sentencing is February 26 at 9:30 am in Courtroom 3G/South Tower, Montgomery County Courthouse

It does look like stalling to me. What is the point? She's already been convicted. How is a new lawyer going to affect her sentencig? 

I'm calling it. I'll bet she gets no jail time. Fine, community service and at the most, perhaps house arrest but probably not. Shannon Beador hit someone's house and didn't get jail time. I know it's Karen's second offense, but I don't think she'll go to jail.

The Orange County (California) DA wanted Shannon Beador to get a prison sentence of two months, but the hit and run (the house) charge was dismissed/dropped after a plea deal (Shannon paid for the damages), and the judge didn't give her a prison sentence. It was her first offense though.
