drivethroo Thursday at 07:57 PM Share Thursday at 07:57 PM Karen used the change of lawyers to stall her sentencing, which was supposed to happen last month. Now the new sentencing date is next week. I'm sure it was the new lawyers that advised her to check into rehab ASAP. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151932-s9e18-reunion-part-1/page/2/#findComment-8586633

She's already been convicted. How is a new lawyer going to affect her sentencig? I'm calling it. I'll bet she gets no jail time. Fine, community service and at the most, perhaps house arrest but probably not. Shannon Beador hit someone's house and didn't get jail time. I know it's Karen's second offense, but I don't think she'll go to jail. The Orange County (California) DA wanted Shannon Beador to get a prison sentence of two months, but the hit and run (the house) charge was dismissed/dropped after a plea deal (Shannon paid for the damages), and the judge didn't give her a prison sentence. It was her first offense though. Edited 23 hours ago by ZettaK Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151932-s9e18-reunion-part-1/page/2/#findComment-8587991

Tik Tok Karen, your time is up. Here is a screenshot of the Washington Post article. The prosecutor isn't sympathetic to Karen because as Charrisse said, this is not Karen's first or second offense, this is her FOURTH offense. Notable quote from the screenshot: "The fact that Ms. Huger has repeatedly been given the benefit of another chance on three separate occasions demonstrates she has not learned anything from her prior arrests," Kramer wrote. "In fact, it appears as if she has been emboldened." The fact the state of Maryland released the bodycam footage where she delivered lines like: You are poor and white Do you know who I am? Oh Gawd, I'm lit You're gonna be sorry when you find out who I am And now this quote from the prosecutor saying Karen has had multiple alcohol related offenses, got away with them all and has become emboldened? Clankity clank, don't drop the soap! (Karen knows she's getting sentenced to jail, that's why she dumped her first legal team and she is going to appeal her sentence with the second legal team). EDIT: Karen's parents died in 2017 and 2018. Karen was busted for DUI three times between 2006 and 2011. This drunk driving has zero to do with Karen's parents dying and grief and more to do with the fact Karen is a drunk, has serious issues and refuses to get help. This is probably the real reason why Ray wanted to pack up and head to Florida in peace and quiet.
