Carey February 9 Share February 9 Courtesy of the Entertainment Weekly Website. Here is a place to discuss the happening from the Season 48 cast (on and off the Island). If I recall correctly, Whimsy used to give each cast member its own thread. By 2024 that was done away with. Probably makes sense in my opinion due to the fact that there wouldn't be any traction for several cast members. That was due to being forgettable thanks to an early exit or being invisible throughout the entire season. I imagine any big things that happen off the show would get highlighted in the Survivor Media thread (if not here) but I think this section is great for talking about the season's stars overall whereas happenings within an episode could get discussed in that section. I don’t think they did - by which I mean, I tried several times to pull up the cast bios page but invariably got a “Cast list not available” message on the bio page. They haven't done it for at least a couple of seasons and I don't think even EW had it last year. Plus I haven't even needed to visit the network website in a long time due to the abundance of content elsewhere. That may be too bad since the network used to have great material within a decent looking page. Times change, I suppose Kinda surprises me, frankly; websites certainly aren’t the customer front-door accesses they used to be, but HTML coding for something as simple as a cast bio directory has to be some of the most dirt cheap advertising outreach available - an intern could clunk one together in a day, two tops.
