Nintra16 February 7 Share February 7 Just finished watching. I was a bit bored by this episode but I'm fascinated by Torres' reactions. Like when he got locked inside (he obviously wasn't scared of the kid like they made us think), to his reaction to the rapes. Makes me wonder what else he experienced in Maron. This still has been the best season. I would get Peacock just to watch S 12 again. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151672-s12e12-the-good-shepherd/#findComment-8574584

Snazzy Daisy February 7 Author Share February 7 The sex trafficking of boys in a juvenile facility’s basement — a dark and twisted COTW. Art escapes his own abuse by grooming and pimping out new boys. They are considered “broken”, thus they don’t matter. Torres doesn’t realize how much he is still carrying his unresolved trauma, not until his PTSD kicks in when the door starts closing behind him. Did he experience the same level of sexual abuse as Art, Kai and Tommy? I used to like Torres when he first joined Intelligence. But the Gloria fiasco has tainted his character and I cannot look at him the same anymore. Do I look forward to “Torres loses his faith” storyline? Nope. The One Chicago fandom has started to ship “CookWater”. 😬 Am assuming Adam is taking some time off to recover from the crossover, spending time with Makayla and Disco Bob. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151672-s12e12-the-good-shepherd/#findComment-8574787
Sake614 February 7 Share February 7 Getting really tired of Torres’ sob story. There’s no joy in his life or in the stories revolving around him. It’s all sadness and agony. And am I supposed to believe he’s only 25 years old and already a member of this elite Intelligence unit? I think this kid needs more than a priest. He needs serious counseling to overcome his demons. I’d just like it to happen off screen. I don’t need or want my police procedural to be all about the cops’ personal lives. A little bit goes a long way. 3 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151672-s12e12-the-good-shepherd/#findComment-8575138
jcbrown February 8 Share February 8 I have less than zero interest in this character, so much so that I cannot even retain his name in my memory. I actively dislike his storylines. Please kill him off soon, show, he is a blight on an otherwise good season. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151672-s12e12-the-good-shepherd/#findComment-8575456
Guildford February 8 Share February 8 I've tried, and yet I just cannot seem to warm up to him. I don't hate him, or even dislike him & in the background he does perfectly fine. I just find his mopey expression when he's the lead a little tedious and I tune out. He reminds me of Droopy Dog. The case had been done before with Halstead way back before he was neutered by Upton so it just didn't do much for me. Unfortunately the re-arrangement of the episodes which put this after the crossover wasn't ideal. If people had checked out the crossover & decided to give PD a go again this week I just don't think this was the episode to keep them invested. 2 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151672-s12e12-the-good-shepherd/#findComment-8575607
