paigow January 10 Share January 10 Alec and Marisa investigate a museum heist, and a curator and his son might hold the key; the case raises ethical questions about the controversial practise of buying and selling cultural artefacts, which brings old memories for Marisa. AnimeMania January 15 Share January 15 (edited) Originally Episode 10 Garfield Wilson as Andrew Quinn Stu Cooke as Angry Gamer Shelene Yung as Angrier Gamer Amira Anderson as Co-Ed Davis Michael Thomas as Glasses Student Michael Potts as Nnamdi Adesina Trezzo Mahoro as Jamaal Adesina Ese Atawo as Noemi Donia Kash as Kai Potter Michelle Harrison as Penelope Shaw Vincent Muller as Jimmy Cesare Scarpone as Jerry Curtis Andy Thompson as Warren Sheffield Anjali Khurana as Yaahna Bidari Rosemary Jean as US Official Emma Willey as Clerk I don't like the baby given up for adoption storyline, but I don't think the show wants to give it up. Typically these types of shows have the adopted kid wanting to do harm to the parent that gave them away and that is not something I would want to see. Rodney Wednesday at 11:50 PM Share Wednesday at 11:50 PM So repatriations of artifacts is a legitimate thing going on? I had no idea of that. I'd thought it was either the Nepali woman, Yaahna, or the museum director, Penelope. I figured that Jimmy and Kai were just flunkies. Didn't expect it to the be older guy from Marisa's montage of interrogations. Marisa choosing to let the son whom she gave up for adoption find her was the right thing to do in the end. Surprised that it was our third episode in a row without a single murder. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151386-s02e09-another-mans-treasure/#findComment-8555479
Dowel Jones Thursday at 05:25 AM Share Thursday at 05:25 AM The Smithsonian Museum is heavily involved in repatriation of human remains and other cultural objects, mostly of indigenous people in North America. 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151386-s02e09-another-mans-treasure/#findComment-8556118
Trini Thursday at 07:26 AM Share Thursday at 07:26 AM (edited) Ha! I thought that was Michelle Harrison in a promo pic; it's a Flash reunion! I did like that this wasn't a typical murder-of-the-week type of case. And it was nice to have a few scenes with Alec in the classroom. You know, his actual primary job. Couple of nitpicks: Rizwan and NewGuy hanging out watching the mob get crazy instead of just getting out of there. 2.) The way it played out, I don't think they needed the genuine artifact to trap the thief. I hate when the plot hinges on a someone who has been smart and has already gotten away with everything to suddenly act stupid, but then I guess this is called The Irrational. Marissa's sideplot was fine; I just don't really care. Dowel Jones Friday at 12:52 AM Share Friday at 12:52 AM When that first mob got the news about the false advertising, I really thought at first that the woman who told them that there were no headphones was just someone who glommed a store vest and was trying to scatter everyone with the bad news so that she could be first in line. 1 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151386-s02e09-another-mans-treasure/#findComment-8556766
