Straycat80 January 10 Share January 10 It’s very violent! I’m intrigued enough to keep watching because of Sara and Abish. I’d like to know why Sara is going to where she’s going. It’s not to meet her husband because she apparently killed him in Philadelphia. I think Abish might survive, the feisty ones always do 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151362-s01e01-episode-1/#findComment-8551407
iMonrey January 11 Share January 11 I think if you liked Horizon: An American Saga you might like this. It has a similar vibe. But when I learned the man responsible for this show also made The Revenant, that sort of tracked. Relentlessly violent. I believe Rolling Stone put it best by saying Mark Smith confuses violence with profundity. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151362-s01e01-episode-1/#findComment-8552080
snowwhyte January 12 Share January 12 The violence does seem a bit gratuitous but I'm interested so far. The main thing that's putting me off is how annoying I'm finding Sara. I understand she can't go back and feels she has to keep pushing forward but she seems so set on her course that she ignores sensible warnings and advice. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151362-s01e01-episode-1/#findComment-8552719
Harry Wails January 29 Share January 29 (edited) Jusrt binged this over the weekend, I was ok with the violence because I grew up on nonsense western that didn't portray the old west accurately. I remember my little daughter reading the Laura Ingalls "Little House" booksyears ago and feeling like they were closer to the "real" west than most shows as crazy as that sounds! 😂 Sara is annoying but i like Abish Edited January 29 by Harry Wails Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151362-s01e01-episode-1/#findComment-8567020
