Laurie4H Thursday at 01:21 PM Share Thursday at 01:21 PM I watched this last night. I thought it was just ok. Some of the dialogue didn’t ring true. Especially when they first met. Something just didn’t flow well with the story. It also felt very rom com in some places. The cliche being an artist/writer/store owner (in this case a flower store) The playing hard to get and not just dating like a normal couple. The quirky friend. And on a more trivial note what was up with the clothes? I think Blake Lively is pretty but some of the style choices were just off. Her hair and outfit I thought was ridiculous in the party scene. 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151160-it-ends-with-us-2024/

atomic Thursday at 06:13 PM Share Thursday at 06:13 PM I read the book (mostly out of curiosity as to what constitutes as popular literature nowadays), and the movie dialogue is pretty true to the juvenile writing. The movie overall was definitely even worse than the book, though. A story like this is supposed to carry emotional weight, but failed to deliver that by cutting out so many important events and essentially glossing over Lily's past traumas. I thought Justin Baldoni's performance was definitely the strongest part of the movie (that magazine scene was especially chilling), but Blake Lively with her non-stop smiling was awful and horribly miscast. As for the bizarre wardrobe choices, apparently those are Blake's own hideous clothes, lol: Quote Lively, 36, revealed that some of the pieces worn by her character, Lily Bloom, in the upcoming film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel were either pulled from her own closet, borrowed from her husband, Ryan Reynolds, or loaned to her by her close friend, supermodel Gigi Hadid. https://www.today.com/style/blake-lively-it-ends-with-us-costumes-outfits-rcna165321 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151160-it-ends-with-us-2024/#findComment-8536848
heatherchandler 1 hour ago Share 1 hour ago This movie is not good. Not entertaining, boring, weird dialogue. I don’t understand how this was made. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151160-it-ends-with-us-2024/#findComment-8539888
