Zaffy December 13, 2024 Share December 13, 2024 (edited) Let's spend plenty of this episode time on how the Mechanical ppl will escape (which ends up being so unrealistic that makes you wonder if anyone in the writers rooms has any knowledge of physics laws - those two should have been cut in half after than fall..). Let's spend more time with Bernard and Lucas discovering what we already know.. Let's spend one more episode on how Jules will make this suit. Which I suspect she will manage to finish 5 mins before the end of the season. They make this show like if it has a 25episodes season, filler time after filler time. I find myself whining about it this season.. when I was just praising it the previous one. So far, it is a disappointment... My guess that he wasn't among the people that were allowed in the vault, but someone put him there to save him. Or, he entered and let others die? Or maybe all these years of isolation just drove him a bit mad. I suppose we gonna see the vault in the next episode, he has to save Jules, and maybe learn more about him. I think his dad was either Head of IT, or the shadow to Head of IT. There's no way anyone gets in the vault except those two. We've seen that in our Silo. I think his dad got scared because the rebellion was overtaking the silo, and he feared for his son's life, so he put him in the Vault, gave him the code, and told him "don't let anyone in". That's why Solo kept repeating that phrase a couple eps ago. I don't think he has any other big secret other than that, because he was probably a kid when it happened. I have no idea what his real name is, or if there is/was even an actual Solo, or he made that up. 3 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151079-s02e05-descent/#findComment-8532875

Yay, they found something else for Jules to MacGyver! This show had such potential, but now it just feels artificially stretched out. I find myself not caring for scenes with Simms and/ or his wife. In part it's because I find Simms a weak link acting-wise, but also a very cardboard character. When Bernard told him he was disappointed I was hoping he'd murder him, too, but no such luck. tennisgurl January 6 Share January 6 We are pretty heavily in the "moving the pieces around" stage in the story, I wish that things were moving faster but I am enjoying the ride. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151079-s02e05-descent/#findComment-8547844

Season 1 had a multitude of interesting storylines and mysteries that progressed, unraveled and coalesced as the season went on. Season 2, not so much--it's quite bereft when it comes to actual stories. I was thinking that the season 2 premiere script could not have been more than 3-4 pages long because it was so devoid of dialogue and just followed Juliet around Silo #18. I'm glad I waited to binge the entire season at once or I would probably feel equally frustrated. I pretty much wait for all shows to be available and then watch two episodes nightly. I don't think I can go back to any other way of watching, now. I plan on doing the same even with highly anticipated shows like Severance and The Traitors. What bothers me about Simms is his accent and diction, which varies completely from all the other citizens of the Silo we've met. How exactly do the producers of this show justify this? I'm also annoyed with the continuity editors for permitting Juliet to have a completely different hairstyle and color in season 2, which takes place just moments after the events of season 1. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151079-s02e05-descent/#findComment-8556746
