Snazzy Daisy November 9 Share November 9 Quote Gibbs goes under cover for the first time with Lala as NIS works the case of a dead Navy seaman who may have been sharing top-secret intel that poses a threat to national security. Lala struggles with an unexpected development in her personal life. Air Date: Nov 11, 2024 Link to comment
Skooma November 12 Share November 12 Still wish Lala didn't exist. This is heading to her death or her breaking bad I bet. She is getting involved with bad boy at dance while she has a seemingly really nice boyfriend at home? I hate storylines like this. I also don't know who her female pal at NIS is. I never was introduced to her unless it was in what seemed a hundred intros to tons of people standing around in the first episode all of which seemed to take 10 seconds total. Having said that there was the one good segment at the end where she kept having to save Gibb's bacon undercover. And nice to see Gibbs struggle in his first undercover experience. Of course my favorite scene was the two shoutouts to future stuff at the Mexican eatery. Franks declaring he hates Mexican food and senior FBI guy saying Franks should go down and visit Mexico and maybe he would start liking it more. And the more subtle writing of NOT having Gibbs in the scene right away but introducing the young, assistant FBI guy who turns out to be a full head of hair Tobias. Starting to like Agent Randolph more and more. That was his last name? So why do they call him Randy like it was his first name or did I mishear. 3 Link to comment
EtheltoTillie November 12 Share November 12 (edited) Another great episode: I enjoy the weekly roundup of old-school techniques--this time, they did not have comms where they could talk back to the people outside. Also the possibly discredited handwriting analysis. I liked when Randy was doing the "chatterbox" technique and everything about the undercover scenes, where Lala was sending signals to the outside and she slipped Gibbs the weapon. Agree that we could do without her love life story. Oh, yeah: "he's my dentist." that was a great scene. Edited November 12 by EtheltoTillie 5 Link to comment

Snazzy Daisy November 12 Author Share November 12 Pen pal letters — the old school way of catfishing. Gibbs being so green and awkward is anxiety-inducing. 🫣 Franks naming Randy’s interrogation technique as “Chatty Cathy” is a nod to older Gibbs re DiNozzo’s method. Franks calls Lala a “workplace distraction”. Am guessing Lala Dominguez is the reason for Rule #12. Lala suppresses her emotions at work and at home. Should we be expecting an emotional outburst sometime down the road? 3 Link to comment
threebluestars November 12 Share November 12 I hundred percent think Lala will be dead at the season finale. I really loved that she called Gibbs out on his sexism. It was of the "nice" variety, but still sexism. Just because he wasn't telling raunchy jokes didn't mean he wasn't demeaning her by thinking she couldn't handle herself in the field and thinking he had to run interference with Franks. It also played well with her leading the undercover opp and him being so awkward. 7 Link to comment
Grizzly November 12 Share November 12 Her boyfriend seems like a good guy and is certainly hot enough. Stupid for her to mess that up. But it must be tough to always have to be de-feminine to get by at your job. 2 Link to comment

Wasn't she the one who had the microfiche machine skills instead of hacking? Well its staring to go, maybe not as much as Hill Street Detective Henry Goldblum's was before he joined the FBI 🧐 2 Link to comment
