DanaK November 9 Share November 9 Quote Danny and Baez scrutinize an art gallery suspected of selling counterfeit pieces after a detective investigating the establishment is murdered. Also, Eddie is conflicted when she discovers her former partner turned social worker, Rachel Witten (Lauren Patten), crossed the line to get a mentally ill client much needed help; and Frank is upset when an award Danny was to be honored with is rescinded by Grace Edwards (Lori Loughlin), the widow of an NYPD officer killed in the line of duty, on BLUE BLOODS, Friday, Nov. 8 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150488-s14e14-new-york-minute/
preeya November 9 Share November 9 I called no suicide when they found the dead guy, but I thought it was the son who killed him. Lori Loughlin has not aged well. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150488-s14e14-new-york-minute/#findComment-8502633

I've never seen a hit show where the producers squeeze the actors this tight. Remember a few seasons ago, they were gonna cancel this until the leads agreed to take a pay cut. How often does that happen? This is the only show where regular, recurring characters are still considered "guest stars". Only Frank, Danny, Pops, Erin, and Jamie are the actual leading stars. Everyone else, including Eddie, Abigail, Garrett, and all the rest, even Baez and Anthony, are paid as secondary actors. Even Baez! And as a result, many of them don't appear every episode. Bottom line: Joe Jr won't appear unless he's necessary to the story line. $$$$$$$ 🤬 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150488-s14e14-new-york-minute/#findComment-8503084
Gizkok November 10 Share November 10 But still, they could have at least mentioned Joe Jr, with a plausible reason why he couldn't be there. Sheesh! As for his mother - she thinks enough of Joe to give their son his (first) name, but not enough to let them know each other? 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150488-s14e14-new-york-minute/#findComment-8503509
Snazzy Daisy November 10 Share November 10 I love softie Danny. I need to see him with Elena, Baez’s daughter. ☺️ Quote “Geez, when did you become such a softie?” “If we could just stop for a second to appreciate this version of Danny.” “We need to bottle it.” No idea why but Lori Loughlin gives a very unsettling vibe. 😬 Seeing Lauren Patten again takes me back to her unnecessary topless scene in Death and Other Details. UGH. 😣 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150488-s14e14-new-york-minute/#findComment-8503595

I like this theory. I have seen and read interviews with the show runners and various people on the creative team who have said no deaths and no promotions, but I haven't heard anything confirming or denying retirement. I would say retirement is definite possibility. 21 hours ago, astrohip said: Money. 100% money. It's pretty amazing that the answer to so many/most questions involving why network television is the way it is comes to down to money, ratings, the audience, and sponsors/advertisers. 1 hour ago, Snazzy Daisy said: I love softie Danny. The trusted adult she goes to when she's older and doesn't want to talk to her mother. The one she calls when things go horrible wrong and she doesn't want to immediately involve her mother. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150488-s14e14-new-york-minute/#findComment-8503634
