Comment below to share if you have a favorite recurring character and who it is. Is there a recurring character you would have liked to see as a series regular? Which recurring character do you think added the most to the show even if they may not be your favorite?

I'll start with probably the two most obvious choices.

Favorite recurring: Lord John Marbury

Character who should have been a regular: Ainsley Hayes. 

I'll throw Joe Quincy into the mix, too.

I agree about Marbury.  Liked John Amos' admiral character too. 

Didn't like Ainsley Hayes if she was the young blonde women that got the office in the basement.  Sorry.  Just felt too contrived to me.

I would have liked to see more of Oliver Platt as Oliver Babish, Anna Deavere Smith as Nancy McNally, and John Amos as Percy Fitzwallace.

I enjoyed Ainsley.   She was funny and I loved seeing liberals and a conservative working together.  Patriots all.   

 

Loved Lord John adding him as a regular would have ruined him.
