Nima needs more samples for his experiments, so Milius sends Wilford and the soldiers to collect; privately, Milius tells Wolf to kill Wilford; Layton wakes up on an abandoned floor and is approached by humans with toxic gas scars.

Just what we need; more subplots to confuse the issue.  It appears that Milius's experiments have left an entire tribe of unfortunate red shirts to be contaminated with the chemical that might just save the world.  I'm guessing that Wolf is one of them who somehow worked his way up to Top Goon.  Ox discovers through some, shall we say, enhanced interrogations, that someone is going to blow up the mountain and ruin The Last Great Spot On Earth.  Will Big Alice make it back in time for dinner?  Stay tuned!

I retract my comment from last episode, re Ben.  No body, no death.  Yet.

Meanwhile, back at the 31st subfloor of the Nakatomi Plaza, Layton and Wilford are beating the crap out of each other to no avail.  Alex, having studied Movie Tropes 101, switches radio armbands and fools everybody, and goes to visit our gladiators.

Sorry to be so snarky, but this show has become so disjointed that it's difficult to follow the larger arc anymore.

Yeah, the season started off focused and kind of lost it. Only 4 episodes left and they're introducing new characters and plots. We know someone's going to betray someone's trust, but we don't know who yet. Wilford? Melanie? Oz?

They plan to outright destroy new Eden so there is more than just new atmosphere going in.  They wouldn’t care if it just affected them badly I wouldn’t think.  Good on Alex  for not trusting Nima.
