catsitter August 21 Share August 21 My TV listings magazine had a completely different episode synopsis. Maybe for next week's episode? I won't say what it was though. Link to comment
aghst August 21 Share August 21 So Suzie rushes to some abandoned building, looking for her son, who was supposedly killed along with Masa her husband in a plane crash. Then a man with a gun captures her but Sunny stabs the man and then the floor disintegrates under Sunny and she falls into space? Dream of some kind? Because that is a different reality than the show had been until this point. So we see how Masa gets into programming, hated by his father and he hates his real father, who is the man who had delivered Sunny to Suzie in the first episode. Masa decides to reprogram his real father's trashbot, probably leading to him making Sunny. 2 Link to comment
Snazzy Daisy August 21 Author Share August 21 A deep dive into Masa’s backstory. Yuki/Hiromasa’s narration does help to provide context to what we’re seeing. An enjoyable episode. Why would Yuki/Hiromasa filed a Kit-Kat in a K folder? 👀 Masa went into deep isolation and depression for 2.5 years after his “father” died. And a cute Trash Bot (Sho) brought him out of hikikomori, gave him something to look forward to. This Trash Bot helped Masa to find value within himself. It laughed when Masa laughed. They’re cute together. They even shared a special hand gesture. Quote “How are you still this dumb?” “Apparently, I was programmed by a moron.” 😂😂😂 That cliffhanger at the end is bonkers. The floor dissolves, Sunny falls into a void and Zen is suddenly gone. Are these just hallucinations? We know Masa values sadness, based on his interactions with the Trash Bot. And Suzie is sad all the time. Quote “You frown at objects that are valuable to you. Because you value being sad.” One crazy question — is Suzie real? Could Suzie be some kind of program or codes that Masa has written? 🤔 1 Link to comment
iMonrey August 22 Share August 22 Wow, this show is really losing me. I have no idea what happened at the end or where this is going. None of this makes any sense. 4 Link to comment
cardigirl August 24 Share August 24 This was my most favorite episode of this series. I loved Masu's backstory and the trash robot. I don't know what is happening at the end, with the dissolve, but can't wait for the next episode. I do wish, however, that I had started this when all of the episodes had dropped. The anticipation is killing me! Ha! Interesting theory, @Snazzy Daisy. I kind of hope Suzie is real, but I suppose this could all be a robot's fever dream. Link to comment
