After watching Bad Sisters a couple years ago, and now this episode, I’m wondering if Irish women carry some gene that lets them dive into icy water with no apparent effect.

I'm confused about the various Irish characters who have been introduced. Is the man who died the farmer who was previously seen sitting in a field with a bull and chatting with the podcasters?

Also, if Seamus and Malachy were brothers, why did they have different last names? Unless I'm misremembering (entirely possible), neither Seamus's current last name nor his last name in his former life as a smuggler / criminal in Northern Ireland was O'Connor (which I think was Malachy's last name).

So did Teddy have so much of a crush on his teacher that when he saw her with Seamus he caused her death and Malachy got in the way and died too, and it snapped Teddy’s mind and then Seamus hid the bodies because Fiona begged him to not hurt Teddy before she died?

the town knows Teddy is involved somehow so they are all protecting him.
