I watched the movie when it was available on video.  One of the reasons I watched it was for Greta Scacchi.

That brunette woman in one of the screenshots kind of looks like Greta Scacchi.

Seems to be getting decent reviews so far but there are only like a half dozen reviews

Are they going to have the same ending as the movie? Or a new one? Rhetorical question, since nobody can answer that.

Not sure if this story is going to work stretched out over multiple episodes. Curious to see if it will have the same ending as the original theatrical movie with Harrison Ford.

WTH ...

A movie turned into a limited series is renewed.

And there's so much fat in this season, with Barbara's affair and Rusty playing private investigator going around beating up perps.

So are they going to end this in a cliffhanger?

Which are the worst renewals?

Big Lies?

Hijack?

Presumed Innocent?

Yeah, I think I'm out, unless I'm in the mood to binge in the future. I've just been reading posts, waiting for the season to end, and now they're going to stretch it out.

OK, so it's going to be a new unrelated case.

So they will wrap up this case in the next two episodes.

They may be rebooting the brand to a general murder trial show, the way Tom Cruise rebooted Mission Impossible show into whatever it is now, which is nothing like the old TV show.

OK they wrapped it all up mostly.

It's possible they could bring some of the cast back in future seasons, depending on how long the show lasts.

I'll hold off on making more specific comments about the finale.

Obviously they padded a couple of episodes to produce 8 episodes, all well under an hour each.

Honestly this could have been a movie reboot but Apple probably wanted a series and they got ratings to justify trying to make this some kind of anthology.

When you do, please remember to make them in the episode thread for the finale.  Not everyone is watching as it comes out, and it would be reasonable to think one could read this "general" thread without major spoilers.  Thanks!

Sounds like they haven't cast anyone but mainly secured rights to the source material.

They had a lead who had never done TV shows before along with very good supporting cast.

It's probably going to come down to casting more than some relatively unknown book as the source material to sustain the popularity of the show from the first season.
