Sarah 103 March 25 Share March 25 Someone asked for a place to discuss all of the episodes that have aired and the series as a whole, so here it is. This is for posts that deal directly with the series, but cover multiple episodes. Speculation without spoilers is also welcome. In addition, posts that deal with Andor within the larger Star Wars universe could work here as well, although there is a general discussion for all things Star Wars. Basically, as long the post is relevant to the series Andor, this is the place. Link to comment
isalicat March 26 Share March 26 So when do we actually get to see the final set of episodes? Anyone know? Link to comment
tv echo March 27 Share March 27 (edited) The Marvel and Star Wars Shows Coming to Disney+ in 2024 By Germain Lussier December 4, 2023 https://gizmodo.com/marvel-star-wars-disney-plus-2024-x-men-acolyte-echo-1851070859?rev=1701726946660 Quote The biggest omission here is Andor, which was announced to be returning in August of 2024 back at Star Wars Celebration. However, that was before the writers and actors’ strikes paused production on the series. Now, according to a source close to the production, for those reasons as well as the time needed to release the other two shows, it’s likely to be moved until 2025. Andor star Stellan Skarsgård says the "Star Wars show for grown-ups" will end on a high and hints at season 2 release date By Emily Murray published February 26, 2024 https://www.gamesradar.com/andor-season-2-stellan-skarsgard-exclusive/ Quote However, it's worth noting that no official statement has been made by Disney and according to Skarsgård, there is still a chance we will get our Andor fix this year... just much later than initially anticipated. He told us: "It will probably be out towards the end of the year or early next." Just keep those eyes peeled then! Edited March 27 by tv echo 1 1 Link to comment
Shanna Marie May 19 Share May 19 It wasn't until I saw the actual eclipse last month that I realized that the slow reveal of what becomes the Rebel symbol in the opening is an eclipse ending. It looks just the same. Symbolism! I'm rewatching the series yet again, and I'm having a hard time deciding my favorite arc. The prison arc is so very good technically. The writing is sharp, and I love the way it cuts around the various story lines, showing that everyone is actually in a kind of prison. "One Way Out" is one of the best hours of television ever made. But the whole thing is kind of oppressive to watch, because it's so well done in showing the weight of oppression. On the other hand, the Aldhani arc is so pretty to look at because of the location shooting but it's not quite as tight and beautifully written. Nothing about this show is relaxing, but I can watch the Aldhani arc sort of as comfort viewing while the prison arc is very tense, so I have to be in the right mood to appreciate it. Also, I'm kind of in awe of the production design/costume design. They managed to fit in with the aesthetic of the original movie, so you could imagine this happens around the same timeframe, but it doesn't look too 70s or dated. They had to extrapolate a lot about what the rest of that universe looks like, since the view we got in that first movie was pretty limited, but the Coruscant stuff looks like it could fit in that same universe. The clothes look futuristic and spacey enough that you can tell we're in a science fiction world from looking at them, but they still look like things people might actually wear rather than like costumes. 5 Link to comment

Arrogant jerk! Star Wars has always been for grownups, just as much as it has been for kids. 1 Link to comment
