What struck me about this episode was that, except for addressing the racist hatred Rachel has been getting, it was a big nothing burger.  Sure it was fun to have Lea and Sydney called on their stuff, and the two of them plus Jess clearly forgot that there were cameras.  And given that no one seemed to support them in their claims against Maria you could see them trying to recalibrate their programming.

But otherwise?  We learned that Kelsey didn’t think through her note (and/or got manipulated by her producer).  Is anyone shocked?

About the only thing else newsworthy was that the final three were nice to each other.

I don’t get it either.  The show has always had women of different backgrounds.  I don’t see why she would be targeted at all.

I think that women of different backgrounds who go far, are the ones who continue to get the backlash.

The note had to be a producer's idea to scrap up some cheap drama right? Kelsey had to know that nothing good has every followed hearing the phrase "we need to talk" right?

I definitely think it was a producer's idea. Kelsey looked like she was really struggling to even come up with words to say (and not because she was struggling with the emotions, but simply because she just didn't have enough words to fill up the time). But I think it was more than just for the cheap drama...I also think it was intentionally to f*ck with Joey, and that is not OK.

The outtakes were funny, love the Joey impression and Joey spending the shopping date drinking and eating macaroons.

I continue to wish, however futilely, that TPTB would understand that those type of scenes are so much more meaningful to us as fans, than the never-ending stupid contrived drama. We actually get to see people's personalities, which in turn makes us more invested in the outcome.

Sometimes--but he often chooses suit colors that are unfortunate.  The brown suit on WTA was a hard no for me.  Another time he wore a maroon suit that made him look like a concierge at a hotel.

I am glad someone else noticed this!  He looks sooo much better when he is in his better colors...someone needs to give him a Color Me Beautiful analysis, stat!

Maria is that coworker who makes meetings go an hour over. She’s just in love with the sound of her own voice.

This is accurate. The thing is, she often had the right attitude, like wanting to confront things person-to-person rather than whispering behind backs, but she couldn't stop talking long enough to have an actual discussion.

And in my experience, people who want to confront things that way don't understand that not everyone is that direct and that their directness can come across as aggressive. Doubly so if they can't stop talking over people.

I thought this was a pretty good WTA, though I'd have preferred a full session of the girls fighting with each other vs rehashing some of the rejectees "journeys" with Joey.

And at least Sydney admitted that she was annoying, perhaps there was a life lesson there. She was annoying on her own, but the edit really hammered that home. That had to be a tough mirror to look into.
