I love Mark Sheppard and Timothy Dalton, was lovely to see Niles and Willoughby.

When Jane was talking to Niles she asks him why he continued to work with her when she was a'lost cause'. He pours himself a double of Willoughby's mixture, but we never see him drink it. It follows. Niles is fatalistic about his death, he is even pretty relaxed giving up the necklace to Willoughby. Anyway, I thought it was a well done moment, very earned. Why did he not give up on Jane, he didn't because he knew how it ended. He gave Dorothy friends, too, if you think about it.
