Spartan Girl October 19, 2023 Share October 19, 2023 Surprisingly fun episode! You know once it was obvious that the part with Andy was a dream sequence—that fucking scared me, but there’s no way it would be THAT easy for Chucky. So thanks to the exorcism last season, Chucky is aging and dying in the doll body and now has to make six “sacrifices” to Damballa in the most evil house ever—the White House. Yup, explains everything. As much as I hate Dark Caroline, it’s kind of cute watching Chucky interact with a kid he actually likes. She wasn’t even mad about him trying to take over her body. At long last, Nica got exonerated for her family’s murders and got to enjoy watching Tiffany be arrested and go to prison with the death penalty. Good for her. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/141461-s03e03-jennifers-body/#findComment-8180480
Chaos Theory October 19, 2023 Share October 19, 2023 Caroline and Chucky make a fun pairing. I mean the original concept was “child’s play” and having Chucky corrupt a child. So Caroline is a good representation of that success. Plus they are just fun together. Chucky going to see a doctor shouldn’t have been as funny as it was. Also Tiffany on trial shouldn’t have been as funny as it was. It watching Nica rage and Tiffany fall apart was equal parts tragic and hilarious. 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/141461-s03e03-jennifers-body/#findComment-8180487

It’s not that much of a stretch to have an underground support network for people that sell their souls and mess with demons in this universe. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/141461-s03e03-jennifers-body/#findComment-8181098
Female83 October 19, 2023 Share October 19, 2023 I'm glad that part was just a dream and Spoiler Andy wasn't really killed off. The franchise started with him and should end with him. I noticed that Karen, Mike Norris, Tyler, De Silva, Jesse and Jade weren't on Chucky's list to kill. I guess he's just going after the ones who've caused him the most trouble. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/141461-s03e03-jennifers-body/#findComment-8181309
Chaos Theory October 20, 2023 Share October 20, 2023 Caroline is someone Charles Lee Ray / Chucky doesn’t have to manipulate to get what he wants or needs. He just has to ask. That must be refreshing for him. And something he can reciprocate. I actually do think their friendship is real or at least as real as either are capable of. Caroline is the kid he wished G.G. was and Chucky is the parent Caroline has always needed. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/141461-s03e03-jennifers-body/#findComment-8181852

Caroline’s parents weren’t that great, and whatever fatherly affection Chucky had for the Glenda half of G.G. (because they inherited more of his violent tendencies) went up in flames after they helped exorcise him. I’d actually watch a whole series of just Caroline and Chucky together. blixie October 28, 2023 Share October 28, 2023 (edited) Okay I was a teeny bit disappointed in the first couple of episodes new setting, but this episode is an all timer, so freaking good and I love that they filled in all the blanks from the end of last season, though I guess we still don't know for sure if he and Caroline killed Joseph. From the opening death by umbrella to the Witch Doctor diagnoses (bad case of Catholicism) to Tiffany explaining how many times she's transferred her soul and still professing her love to Nica. My favorite line was"being adorable is my superpower" as indeed one of the reasons I love the show more than the movies is that movie doll was always kind of actually hideous, while TV Chucky is legitimately fuckin cute upping the overall comedic irony. The cuter he is the funnier a mass slaughter in a Dutch Colonial is. And I love that this season SyFy said fuck it you can go as dark and disgustingly gory as you want with the kills Mancini. I am also interested what will happen between Chucky's padewans Caroline. and Henry. There is something up with Caroline insisting she observe, I'm not sure what she read in Voodoo for Dummies but I have a feeling she understands something Chucky doesn't about his path back into Damballa's good graces.
