Snazzy Daisy September 23, 2023 Share September 23, 2023 (edited) Synopsis: Quote We delve into Aoife Cassidy’s past, tracing her days in the convent, her peculiar gifts and taking us right to Father Percy’s door the night of the murder. But all is not as it seems. Colman and Massey work together to capture the true culprit behind Father Percy’s murder – but there are darker figures in the shadows who still walk free. Lorna is close to understanding how her daughter was hidden, but an abrupt end questions her sanity. Finding Aoife at last brings Lorna the peace that she needs, although Colman doesn’t see it that way at all. As a final gesture, Colman brings some good news. Snazzy Daisy September 25, 2023 Author Share September 25, 2023 A bittersweet finale for this unsettling gothic drama! Compelling performances from Ruth Wilson and Daryl McCormack. 💕 Sinead O’Connor’s angelic voice singing The Magdalene Song at the end has left me in tears. 😭😭😭 Colman found her. He found Agnes! He went above and beyond to find closure for Lorna. Colman is a good man. ❤️😢 4 2 Link to comment
Dowel Jones February 27 Share February 27 I hope Coyle is jailed alive so that he can't escape the sentence that Father Percy received. I halfway think there will be some suicides among that pack of jackals. Good to know that Lorna is able to sleep now and her daughter welcomes her into her life, at least a little. 1 Link to comment
Chaos Theory February 27 Share February 27 I watched this on a whim and it was better then I thought it was but then this kind of gothic mystery is really my type of show anyway. I really thought Ruth Wilson and Daryl McCormack played their rolls well. I also really love the small town cop who had a history in the town all his own. All in all a really good mystery and it ended pretty good as well. I liked that the ending was bittersweet and that there was no supernatural aspect to it. Just a mentally ill woman/woman deep in trauma who murdered someone and then in forgot where she hid the body. All in all a pretty decent story with a good ending. 1 Link to comment
Beezella February 29 Share February 29 I wouldn't say Lorna murdered Aoife, perhaps involuntary manslaughter? Although I don't know the laws in England. Covering up a presumed death I suppose. Too bad Aoife didn't wear one of those medical tags (Such as "I am diabetic," or whatever her strange malady was, associated with epilepsy. "Make sure I'm not really dead," perhaps?) The ending was satisfying, I guess as happy an ending as possible considering the terrible history. Link to comment
PurpleTentacle September 10 Share September 10 This was a very good show. But I have to say it was 90% the fault of the almost-nun that she died in that attic. I mean that wall was paper thin and there was even light shining through the cracks. A toddler could have broken through that. Since this was set in Ireland I don't see why english laws would be relevant. Link to comment
