Sounds like a tempest in a teacup with some ambulance chasing lawyers, IMO.  And I think the low viewer response is because they premiered the show the day before Thanksgiving.  I've only seen 2 eps and think it's very well done.

The New York Times just trashed this. I disagree. I think it’s really interesting seeing how they’ve adapted the show from the original and then how the contestants keep misreading things because they know how it was originally done and they don’t expect the changes.

Interview with Spencer and Dani.

Spencer revealed that at the time he filmed the show, he was in a toxic relationship with a person, and that he was recovering from cancer. Well, that explains so much about his reaction to Dalgona. You could tell he had serious stuff going on. He looks much healthier now, thank god.

Poor Spencer. Glad he is much better now. It was heartbreaking seeing him being bullied into selecting the umbrella by Bryton, and then having all his teammates side eye him afterwards.
