I hope Hank is finally moving toward changing. What Tony told him about caring so little about everything and becoming more and more depressed was right on the nose. I also internally applauded when he basically told Hank how hurtful it was for Hank to make fun of what's important to people. As little as I like Gracie, I thought it was awful when Hank, in his VO, denigrated her for being excited about something that is not necessarily popular. Obviously this reflects Hank's lack of excitement for anything in his life.

At the beginning of this ep I was so on Hank's side for not wanting to see his father, but what a gut-punch when he discovers that his father has dementia. Of course if Hank had chosen to act years earlier and talk to his father, then he might have gotten some satisfaction and answers about his traumatic childhood and everything his father did that hurt him.

In horrible people news: Julie and Wyatt Russell. Are they the worst people on this show? I'm not sure. There are so many candidates. But in this episode they were. Especially Julie. I'm glad that at least Lily left her at the restaurant with Wyatt.

Hated the masseuse talking on the phone while she gave Hank a massage.

Hated the couple eating Oreos in the hot tub.

The photo of the remote on the wall in Hank's room was pretty funny.

Isn't it Russell?

Hard to say this about someone with so much trauma, but right now Hank is getting the respect he deserves.

She was having a conversation about someone *else* being inconsiderate about having a conversation around someone else, I believe, which is kind of ironic.

I loved the remote painting.  While Hank is still a jerk, it did serve to illustrate the absurdity of his life.

Also, Lily did appear to be making plans to commute to New York during the week, which is kind of what I had expected.  They couldn't afford a home like that in New York proper.

I completely missed that!

I found this episode less depressing than the previous episode.  Hank finally took some action, even though the result was disappointing.

I completely dislike both Hank’s parents.  Julie is insufferable and really needs to quit the act of running home to mommy.  I think Lily is the most balanced character, she’s trying to be true to herself and is a good parent and wife.

the music was interesting.  I liked what I heard of Find a New Hero, would like to hear the whole song or locate the lyrics.
