We claim to have a ghost haunting the school I work at. We call her Sheila, by coincidence, not after Flower’s actress.

Kinda ghost story.

When our son was six, we drove past a small inlet from downtown Cleveland known as Whiskey Island.  It’s uninhabited and given over to reserves and a little bit of industry at the end on the Cuyahoga River.

Well A said out of the blue, “that’s where we lived when my brother was killed by a motorcar.  Mommy was at home with the paper hangers.”

1) we’ve never had another son;

2) Whiskey Island hasn’t been inhabited since WWII;

3) Paper hangers is an old fashioned term for guys who would come in and put up wallpaper.  It was done with highly chemical paste a sheet at a time, so your average housewife didn’t do it.

The brief conversation just kinda freaked me out a bit.  Of course he doesn’t remember saying that now.

My favorite moment was when Hetty said "She will have the worst prom ever" and then the rest of the ghosts produced this evil laugh in the Prom episode. Iconic.
