Maybe in the interest of full disclosure, they should change the title of the show to:   
   The Rookie: Feds and Romance

Although to be fair, The Rookie mothership is not much less focused on romance.

It worked for Castle, but there is no similar romantic hook in either of these shows for the endless relationship crap to be of interest.

And having Simone hook up with her ex who is the COTW is not so cute.

That was a terrible, terrible episode. Simone was so incredibly unprofessional. I've cut her some slack cause this show is obviously unrealistic but wow. Shouting to Carter across the bullpen, dressing up to meet the ex and then dressing like she's going out on a date AND hooking up with him? Come on. Just way too much for me. Between her and the story with Brendan and Antoinette, this episode was more soap than crime. I mean, they barely did ANY crime solving! At least it felt like that. Just a very disappointing episode.

This show is just awful...even just as background noise!  Simone is the worst character on the show!  When she's not on screen, the show is so much better!  I especially noticed it on one of the crossover eps (or maybe it was an ep of The Rookie that just had some Rookie Fed cast members).  I like Niecy Nash, but I don't think this is the right fit for her and it drives me crazy that she dresses so unprofessional!
